Just saw this deck concept do well recently.

I decided to use the huge amount of non-engine space to squeeze in the Runick package, cutting Typhon, S:P and the second Lys and Chimera in the Extra for 2 Hugin, a Geri and Sleipnir. Consequently, I'm on just 1 Shipyard though to avoid the Field Spells conflicting, and also took out all but one Bluebeard. Geri and Sleipnir come up surprisingly often in hands where you open Chimera Fusion but no Gazelle, since both of them are Beasts, so you'll still have access to Berfomet at least to send Mirror Sword. It worked out quite well in testing so far, but Runick is a double-edged sword. It baits a lot of Handtraps early in your turn, but since Droll is everywhere this format, you really have to be careful with your sequencing.

Yea that sounds neat i hadnt considered trying to fit all 3 packages, seems like the extra would be lacking somewhere, and you have like no more nonengine space even for like ash

The plunder fusion combined with emblem are absolute mandatory in the deck You can search the fusion spell with the field spell And still go into some chimera fusion monster berfomet

Any thought on using Icejade Ran Aegirine with plunders? Seems to have a lot of synergy at least on paper

I’d have to test maybe a larger IJ package but the lousy thing about Ran is if u discard Whitebeard u cant use Whitebeard eff or else youll be locked into plunders and u cant make the cool synchro 10s. So goldenhair is the only one you wanna discard for that and that seems situational

So I bulit the deck myself right after seeing your vid. I really didnt like the fenrir in thet version, so I did cut it, for the 2 mirro swords knight and one berfomet. I Also put a 3rd veiler and pumped it up to 42. It works sooo great. And if you just have mirrorsword or quotal u can still do the chimera combo, wich is better than just having a gazelle + fusion and nothing else. But all in all its a freaking awesome deck.

Sounds good i’m just worried about fusion locking with berfomet, really need blackbeard. But i guess if you brick otherwise having the berfo option is cool.

@@phantomsygo I only use berfo if I have no other option. Sometimers if u draw the mirrorsword knight or the cornfield already along with the gazelle, u can add berfomet after fusing in chimera the phantom beast and use berfo in the opp turn to also fill your Board with gazelle agan and search for another fusion.

@@kevinreuber6445 Super poly is perfect I can fit in Garura and Mudragon and if anything I can use it to go for game with the leftover bodies

just a thought since runick plunder's baronne plan always felt so good even moreso with the bystial side : thoughts on 1 baronne in this since berfommet and chimera are both lvl 6? opening chimera fusion then summoning whitebeard/goldenhair is baronne, i know same as coral dragon runick it's gonna come up not that often but couldn't help think about it since 4+6 lol

berfomet is Lv5, and your hand would have to be stacked to summon chimera and then still have a tuner to summon after and make baronne, without using berfo effect and locking yourself into fusions

Funny you posted this deck right after chimera became my rivals pet deck and plunder mine :) what do you think of plunder labrynth? I’m playing mostly that in three variants and they are loads of fun, but also quite thinking intense. Did you try it yet? Also thanks for the content ;)

I havent tried plunder lab, i dont see the synergy really, maybe discard the plunders for value with the furniture? I might try it when lab becomes cheap, the traps are expensive haha

@@phantomsygoaye, tho compared to other meta decks it’s still kiiinda budget. Depends on the built and what you wanna do, the coolest thing you can do is turn 0 discard a furniture and whitebeard as soon as they opponent has for example earth, then go into red, summon jord or whichever you need. Also Arias and the bystials are lvl 6 for chaosangel plays. Arianne (which sees no play in regular lab) can be used to summon out a golden or white for quick synchros. The extra deck monsters are all fiend/lvl8, so big welcome can also be activated from the grave and muckracker too. The grind game is ridiculous aswell. I feel like there are two ways to play it, either 40 cards focussed on turn0 “ability” with one of each goth mommy monsters and maxed furniture, or the slower 48-60 card way which punishes every opponent who lets us play a third turn. I’d even say it can be better than pure Lab, I you really know both decks inside out. Anyways, Plunder forever! ARRRRRR!

Hm, Chimera synergizes with a lot of fiends... Maybe combining Chimera with Unchained? Or D/D/Ds? maybe even Dark World?

more specifically, it synergizes with fiends that want to be sent to the GY, like plunder. Unchained, DDD, and DW not so much, since they dont get effects when used as fusion material (except sharvara, RIP). so yea maybe another fiend deck will come around. Burning abyss wouldve been neat but it's tough to pair BA with other decks.

How does it fare against hand traps I think it deffo puts up a way nicer end board than plunder adventure tho

Yea it’s tough against a lot of handtraps, hopefully you open a chimera fusion if your gazelle gets stopped

Great video, the extra negates in grave really boost the turn 1 board, would you say this is the most competitive version of plunder at the moment?

I’d say it’s the best endboard but because it’s pretty weak to handtraps i’m not sure it would stand up the best against the meta right now which is a lot of handtraps
