There’s another variant to combo one that can bridge into the chimera engine, if you make bagooska/muckraker and don’t link off the cross sheep you can fuse for berfomet and send a swordknight

Combo 2 if you use fusion, fuse king and Diabellze into berfo, send tao, reborn diabellze and add back fusion this way you start with diabellze turning off all quickplays for the turn and still having a fusion to interrupt. I’d also recommend going for gazelle off the swordknight/coatl in this case over berfomet because you’ll still have a fiend to fuse with being edge imp chain and are now able to make a rank 6 in addition to everything else (you do lose the extra sword knight search though so this line is hand dependent)

Very informative!

You can pop the Mirror Swordknight with Diabellze and then chain the Swordknight effect to get berfomet and avoid the pop on your side of the field altogether

What I love about this deck is that is becoming more and more unique!! Cannot want for the new Link 2 for this deck. I will always like the Branded variant, but finding way to use monster like Lars, Beatrice, and Chaos Angel is just so good.

Perfect timing! I’m planning on taking this to a box tournament tomorrow night. I’ve been playing the deck since release and I absolutely love it!

Tried this deck at locals, handtrap heavy variant, went undefeated. Never summoned the lv5 berfomet turn 1, always go for gazelle, not being fusion locked help a lot

I won my locals yesterday with the deck. For me it was 50/50 whether I went into Gazelle or Berfomet depending on my hand. I never even opened Branded Fusion the whole event so that never came into it.

@MSTTV I just couldn't quite figure out how I'm suppose to effect couplet, you say activate couplet then just set it to scale? Also couplet say "while this card is face up in the extra deck. When you reveal it from hand does it go top to extra deck or something?

my big question is say i active ostinato and summon out bacha then it gets negated, with say a imperm or veiler as it negates the hole card and their for can stop it, is their away to play through that, one suggestion made was gravity controller (summon bacha in extra m zone) but it cant be used as link material in the same turn it summoned so it will trigger the gy effect of bacha and if played right get 2 free melodius on field, but what do i do with them, i cannot afford sp little knight i should mention is their a good target to go into with the 2 melodius or should i just leave bacha on board and not run gravity controller and if i leave bacha what can i do with her ?

Hey, is there a way to make a refrain drawn in your start hand usefull besides Discard/Guardianchimera-fodder ? Is there ever a world in wich you would normalsummon it ?(besides if you have no illusion starter obv) Or is it just a mostly dead draw?

I like to keep a chimera fusion monster at all times so coatl and Swordknight are live

Ngl I am soooo happy that chimera is so viable again I love this deck so much

In combo 1, why not just use the Cross-Sheep, Tam-Tam and Refrain to go into a 3x negate Apollousa? You would also free up an extra deck slot by being able to drop the Exceed the Pendulum.

Yes u can. But typically mirror sword has already been tagged out to get a beast in hand for fusion material if we focused on getting 2 chimera fusions to play

Video title makes it seem like its Pure Chimera compared to something like Branded Chimera or Melodious Chimera. This is a Melodious Chimera list. When you draw Albaz in your opening hand playing Branded Chimera, you're probably going to lose. There has been one top for Pure Chimera, at least two 1st place tops for Melodious Chimera, but even with the restrictions associated with Branded there have been many regional top 8's recently even though it gets killed badly by Dimensional Barrier. It does seem like all three variants have what it takes to top, but I do agree the Melodious version is probably the best all around choice. Still waiting for my cards in the mail!

I think Branded is the strongest. It does the best against Droll and Shifter, is the most consistent and has the best grind game of the three. I tried pure for a long time and found so many brick hands where I was thinking "if this Veiler was a Branded Fusion/Branded Opening, we'd be going full combo here, but instead we're setting Edge Imp pass". As for melodious I really dislike the extra deck requirement that plays into Droll, just to put up Apo + Vortex. Your hands where you open any Melodious that isn't Ostinato, are just bad. At least with Branded you get grind. Make Rind turn 1, foolishing Gazelle. On opponents turn it gets outed, reborn Albaz and make Mirrorjade with an opponents monster, send Albion for extra banish. EP Albion searches Branded Fusion. Turn 2, use that Branded Fusion and go Lubellion into Dragoon. Off 1 card that's a 6/7-of, that's full combo + 3 disruptions + Branded Fusion follow-up for the next turn too.

@@francisbartoszewski2284 Melodious Chimera is better going first, much better end board. Not as good going second. Branded Chimera is better going second, easier to break boards. If you draw an Albaz with Edge Imp Chain or no other way to fuse or start your plays, you will probably lose. Pure is probably somewhere in-between and gets better after Infinite Forbidden, but by that point you can consider Fiendsmith Chimera, which is probably how I'm going to play the deck later this summer.

@@rdubtheislander238 in your scenario, if that Aluber was a Couplet or a Mourner you'd be even more likely to lose. At least the Aluber which is the brick, will still get you full combo if your opponent doesn't have a handtrap.

Something like: Albaz, Chimera Fusion, Talents, Master Tao the Chanter, Called by the Grave Is just an awful hand going first and something I haven't been able to work around. If you have any suggestions how to make the deck less bricky I'm all ears. When you don't brick with the deck, you clap. But when you brick, you brick hard and its frustrating.

@@rdubtheislander238 I've not bricked a single time with the deck. It's interesting that your custom 'brivk hand' includes two 1-ofs and a 2-of and a 6-of non engine piece. That hand of two 1-ofs + Albaz is a 0.16% chance to open. The chance of opening that with the other two cards in hand being dead makes the odds even lower. If you're complaining about a 1/200 game brick rate, idk what to tell you. What's also interesting is that hand is insane going 2nd.

Dumb question, but if you draw anything that isn’t exactly ostinato (tamtam, or couplet or refrain) are you just playing chimera but with 4 cards instead of 5? Or are there combos that work without ostinato?

Refrain will still get you combo, ns her, add couplet, get spell, go into Bacha, bacha summon, set scales, refrain send another refrain, go into crosssheep, bacha 1 spell 2 to draw and summon refrain, go into exceed, go into appo. Last part is hand dependant but it's a free appo before you do your plays which is cool.

Question: why run exceed the pendulum? I always will link off cross sheep, refrain and tamtam into a 3 negate Apollousa instead of the 2

@@wildwombatarmy im just explaining why you need exceed the pendulum. If you dont run it, refrain is a brick to draw. Then youre just completely relying on drawing ostinato

Look at fusion substitute, you can add one. It is treated as a Poly but you can banish it and bring a fusion back to the deck (Something like that) and you can draw a card

Ideally, against tenpai summon diabellze in def mode early into the game brefore you pass turn and provide yourself 1 option to revive it. They cannot Kaimen because it’s a quick play. Also even if they have lightning storm it won’t be affected. So that makes short work of that initial part. Chimera fusion can be used to take out the field spell either with magnum reliever or chimera. Game 2 side in ash, crow, tcboo, simul arch field and pray they aren’t opening shifter.

I'll stick with Branded Chimera and add little spice to it cause, it's more faster or go pure Chimera

I got top 8 at nats with this deck top 2 day on swiss with a 7-1 record

Without ostinato the mellodius engine doesnt exist. if you have no ostinato just cut the mellodius engine entirely and play handtraps instead.

@@MSTTV draw the out lmao I’m trollin but I’m all seriousness the probability of u drawing a one of imperm versus the 3 of droplet is so low I mean great if u have it but just seems like it could go to a better card like ttt since almost every list tempi play over 12-15 hand traps at least with that u can rip a card an proceed to clap cheeks ( just my pov)

Its cool… but leads to dead ends at times, spellcaster types, the sinfulspoul search was cool but a bit slow. If you cut melodious maybe. But at that point why not play just edge imp and play closer to 40. Zealantis made short work of battle phase stuff.
