We’ve only seen him a handful of snaps and have no clue if he’s a stud or dogshit. What we do know is the Eagles passed on early round LBs because they believe in Dean.
Disagree with Nick, I'm not sure the field vision Travis has is very teachable. Some players just have that instinct to react in the moment. I think even Travis has said it's hard to explain.
@omarandrade7524
Ай бұрын
I 100% agree, Travis still could teach the TEs on how to play with Mahomes so that he trust you more
@yourdashingheroidol7909
Ай бұрын
I totally agree! You literally can't teach instinctual behavior..... it's just something that is almost impossible to quantify w/o rambling on while trying to articulate it! I think because it's something unique to an individual based on their life experience and genetics ! Like trying to coach a genuine fight or flight response...... it's just there! That is why I disagree w/@omarandrade. .....If it was as simple as ""Just teach the TE's to play so Mahomes trusts them"......every team would be stacked and unbeatable! Again, you can't teach someone to be something they're not! You get ppl trying to be that other thing, but will never actually be one. The NFL has had so many amazing athletes that tick every box ....and they just never get "it", because they lack the instincts of a player! We have also seen guys have long careers and even start most of that time, and their physical talent is so wild that they get by on it w/o ever coming close to what the measurables would say they should be. Think like, Jadavein Clowney......and so far ,a guy like Justin Herbert!
@usernamesrlamo

Yep, Kelce is a unicorn because he sees the field better than anybody else on it. He knows exactly where and when the open spot will be, it certainly isn’t teachable it’s instinct for Kelce.

The Chiefs are low key one of teams that are better at developing in house talent. Not a hot or widely talked about topic but, it’s there. I’m an Eagles fan but, I look at football objectively as well.
Kelce’s deal was incorrectly reported. They basically tore up his current 2 year deal and replaced it with a new 2 year deal with a 4 million a year raise.

@@exclusiveman5thats not how statistics work. You can say there is no precedent. Simplistically if all teams were equally as good every year the chance of a 3 peat would be (1/32)^3 which is 0.003% the number is actually higher than this because the chiefs are an above average team. If something that has never happened before had a 0% chance of not happening then nothing new would ever happen. The math gets more confusing if you factor in making the playoffs and winning the playoffs but if you just go with “every team has an equal chance every year” then its 0.003%

It's great that Travis got paid, but when are TE's going to start getting more money? They do so much work for the offense that I find it absurd that they are making basically half of what WR's are making now. They can block, they can catch, and in some cases, can even throw.

Dean had a little bit of praise, but Ringo? No. That's a stretch. Ringo was drafted as a project. Nolan Smith was also drafted as a project - he was barely given playing time, just too raw. Carter was excellent, last I checked.
