Lmaooo "hummus" means "chickpea" in arabic so you're basically saying "hummus hummus". This is like the sequel to "chai tea" 💀

@Z so I’m gonna guess that “white people” say “chai tea” because they don’t speak Arabic, and two, there are countless types of tea. In the US, chai is in its own class. You wouldn’t say “I want tea tea” no you’d say “I want earl grey tea” same with chai.

There is no need to remove the skins for a smooth hummus. Plus not enough garlic. Use olive oil instead of water to help get it smooth and before adding the tahini you should wisk it together with the lemon juice separately before adding it ( the tahini thing is a little trick from my Lebanese grandmother. changes the flavour of the tahini) though I will say this is much better than Jamie Olivers attempt

Not sure I understand boiling canned chic peas. Maybe it's smoother without the skins, but when you're a plant based eater for health, you keep every little bit of our wonderful whole foods. Also you can enjoy Hummus without oil, and salt. A handful of toasted sesame seeds will substitute for commercially processed tahini. I use a pressure cooker to cook garbonzo beans from scratch. Takes about 20 min you can soak, but I don't plan ahead much. Plenty of garlic, and lemon some cumin. Add cooking broth to the consistency you want. You can thicken no salt added vegi broth, if you want that mouth feel of oil. Use corn starch, or uzu, or tapioca flour, regular flour, or agar to thicken... also cooking it down helps. Nice to see how you do it, but the closer we stay to nature, the better for health.

Good. That’s the common way to do it , but definitely it takes more than 15 min to cook the peas. After overnight soaking , it should take about one and half to two hrs to have the chickpeas quality cooking for this recepe. It should Bo over cooked to get smooth hummus
