Chicken Hawk Attack & After Care
Predator attacks on your chickens is inevitable. Locking them up in a super secure chicken run is one way to help prevent them from happening but, that means the chickens won’t enjoy life as much. We have a fenced area for our chickens to spread their wings but this baby snuck out of the fence through a part where the hill eroded and left a space under the fence.

I'm so sorry this happened to her. Poor baby. She was smart to play dead, even though she startled you so badly. Your rooster did a phenomenal job! He definitely deserves a special treat. I'm so happy that she's going to be alright. Thank you for sharing this! Great & quick thinking to grab your camera. Hope she Heals quickly and doesn't have a lot of emotional scars from the attack.
She was like "WTH mom, you wouldn't believe what happened to me, I was attacked by a flying chicken, OMG I was so scared, can you believe it, did you see it, I didn't see it, It came outta nowhere, I tried to run but it sure got me, and it bit me in my butt🐔....... I'll never sneak out again!"

It’s a shame people can’t get the antibiotics they need anymore to help save their pets because of big brother..
Is this normal for chickens to play possum after an attack ? I never seen that before but then again its been ages since i was around chickens at my grandparents farm
