Just made this but doubled the recipe. It was VERY good. I also added broccoli into it. My only complaint that I had was that the sauce was almost TOO thick. I added a few splashes of pasta water which helped.

For most of my adult life I've ignored the America-Italian dishes in lieu of the authentic dishes but eventually you need to find something new, and for me that means returning to the American-Italian dishes that I grew up with. I'm not sure that I've ever had Chicken Fettucine Alfredo but what the hell? Thanks!

As an Italian, I thank you for reiterating that this pasta does not exist in Italy. Even chicken with pasta is unthinkable in Italy.

Spaghetti with meatballs is another false myth of traditional Italian cuisine. There is a recipe for baked pasta which includes fried meatballs, boiled eggs, mozzarella and tomato but they are very elaborate and rare dishes.
