Chicken Coop & Run Build || Part 1 || Framing the Run

Chicken Coop & Run Build || Part 1 || Framing the Run
Today we are starting our Chicken Run Build. We have been looking to build this for quite some time. As a matter of fact, many of the materials have been on a pile just waiting for us to get to building. Since we can't seem to keep the chickens out of the barn, its about time we get these chickens in a proper home!

Great looking run. My land is so hard to dig in. I never thought about building on block. Thanks for the idea.

Yeah... That was pretty much my problem too. Between all the tree roots and rocks, digging holes becomes a huge issue! Just means I'll have to be extra careful about the bottom edges.

I like the design. You gave me a good idea of how to build a storage shed by myself. I wouldn't worry about it being perfectly square - Chickens are gonna live in it. Besides, a lot of stick-built houses put up by "reputable" builders these days aren't square. They last a good 10-15 years before they start to fall apart. All best with your projects.

You know, I like the idea of how you did your corner posts. It's a chicken run/coop. Why bother with all the manual labor and expense if it's structurally sound? I have a bunch of concrete blocks laying around. I'm going to give that a go. Thanks for the video.
