I loved the time Goku spent with Chichi and Gohan before the Cell games. I wished he stayed alive and continued to have those moments with them.

Me too. Even if Goku chose to sacrifice himself to save the world, Cell is quite the monster for destroying such a special happy family. 😡 Luckily, Goku gets to come back home after Majin Buu is defeated once and for all. 😊

1:40. Love the detail of Yamcha running in and giving Goku a hug with Chichi, and Krillen. Besides Bulma, Yamcha was Gokus first ever friend. OGDB fans remember it was just Goku, Yamcha and Bulma for a long time before they met Master Roshi and Krillen.

Not quite. Goku did promise ChiChi he'd marry her, thinking marriage was a type of food, but he really married her because Goku's a man of his word and he loves ChiChi and wanted her to be happy. ❤💕❤️

I think that's why goten was able to get Super Saiyan at such an early age because Goku must have gotten Chichi pregnant while he was in his Super Saiyan form before the Cell Games

One of the good love story in Anime, Goku and Chi-chi. Happy to see them and other characters again by watching. I miss watching the series from the very beginning upto the recent timeline, in short a good anime to recap.

I've heard Toriyama had no idea how to write romantic content, but I believe that was to the benefit of the relationships in Dragon Ball. As a result of him not really having any idea what he was doing in that department, those relationships felt way more real and grounded than your typical fictional romance.

Yeah, I agree. I feel like ChiChi is one of those characters that you come to understand and even appreciate as you get older. 😊 Dragon Ball might be about the epic duels and godlike powers(especially these days), but I do think a character or two who tries to be realistic and a voice of reason, even if they can be a bit irrational at times is needed. ChiChi is misunderstood in my opinion. And although I certainly don't blame her for wanting to settle down and be a housewife for Goku(especially after watching him get badly hurt at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament), I do wish Goku and ChiChi had a few more adventures together. ❤

@@PrincessQ-fj9ly - Chi Chi does put up with ALOT , From a certain perspective - Goku doesn't work for money, takes off all the time neglecting his family , spent a high fortune just to have a fight with Hit ,Chi Chi doesn't seem to have any Girlfriends so Goku seems to keep her Isolated from other Women , Doesn't respect Chi Chi's parenting style and has even hit Chi Chi Multiple Times ..

As I've gotten older, I now take back on some of the terrible things I've said about her. There are some things which I do feel sorry for her. I'm sorry for the fact that Goku isn't romantic towards her. He doesn't spend really spend enough time with her and he's usually messy. That's what I can see. What I don't agree with Chichi is that she shouldn't be so overbearing towards her son Gohan. I know she wants what is best for her boy. But she can be very annoying. Besides, there's more to life than sticking your nose into scholarship.

Well, she is younger than Bulma, sooo.........you're not wrong. And even as she got older, she still looked pretty youthful. I think the only time she looked old and frail is in the future Trunks timeline and even there, her looking older was due to poor ChiChi being sad and lonely. And that sadness and loneliness was no doubt due to her losing both her beloved husband Goku and her beloved son Gohan. Permanently no less.

Oh my, I really like this Chichi's voice acting. She sounds so caring and tender, even when she's angry. No overexaggerated yelling. This is what we want.

I dont want to hear anyone saying those two are not meant to be together or that she isnt a good wife. She is a good woman and loves him to death and i think they are a great pair. No no, i dont care if he is more clueless in the the manga, or in the remake, this is all canon and i am not letting go of this ship

Probably because when we were kids, our perspective saw her as a monster mom who was constantly getting in the way of letting us watch Gohan do what we wanted to see him doing in a show about fighting. But then once you become an adult, she becomes a lot more understandable, yet with some people that resentment likely still lingers.

By far some of their best moments. 💕 Say what you will about Goku and ChiChi, but there's no denying that they have a great relationship. 💖 One that certainly has its tests, but a great relationship nonetheless.

I love how much she loves him. She understands some of his personality and mannerisms are because he's a Saiyan. She mourns him when he's gone and loves him when he's home.

In this time chichi new she must make another baby 🤣🤣🤷🏽‍♂️

I wish Luffy with any girl in one piece will have a romcom just like Chi-chi and Goku remembering that Oda-sensei was also one who helped in Dragon Ball back then...

She's proven herself to be a good martial artist and warrior princess. ❤️ Especially after her performance in the world martial arts tournament. I mean she was going up against Goku and she managed to make him sweat without even trying. Makes you wonder if Goku's decision to marry Chi-Chi was due in part to the great match she gave him. 😏

@@PrincessQ-fj9ly I kind of think it was! I once saw someone make a comment about Goku treating Chichi like a side piece, and in a way. . .I wonder if there is some truth to it. Not that Goku would ever be unfaithful, but I do sometimes get the feeling that while Goku does love his wife and kids, the thrill of the fight is the true love of Goku's life. And with that in mind, I think that Chichi being able to give him a run for his money at those early points in his life 100% played into his feelings for her.

I know Trunks lost his home because of Zamasu and Goku Black getting it erased. But think about it. The 2 remaining people from Trunks timeline is him and Mai. Meaning Future Chi Chi was killing, so she was reunited with Future Goku and Future Gohan again in the Otherworld.
