Saltwater consistently comes up anytime someone does a Top # whatever trance tunes compilation. Offshore and Autumn Tactics are pretty well remembered too. He's right where he deserves to be. He had his hits, though he didn't even produce that many compared to other trance artists.

I miss my old self. The old self when I was the happy person I used to be. And trance was always there to uplift me. It was in the 2000s that I discovered trance. I made a promise to devote my life to listening to music because it is the type of music that always brought me so much joy. I know I missed out on a lot, but now I am back.

I'm a dj since 1990 and I had envolved with the 90's commercial electronic music. Suddenly at the first years of the millenium I heard for the first time Chicane's - Saltwater and then Offshore tracks. They just stucked in my mind and that was it. Thank you Chicane for showing me the path to the other side of electronic music. You're a huge inspiration and what I have achieved till today. You're a legend!!! Much love from Greece!!❤🙏

Chart related music, 90's dancefloor music like that you hear on this set is (was) called commercial music. Its mass compatible to many people. Pop music as you will. Non commercial music is likely more art form, non familar sounds and styles sometimes. @andrewandy2353

what an amazing set. this has been on repeat for a while now - while climbing, while running, while working, while just living life! this set made me come back to asot after almost a 15 year break. we need more Chicane! the true godfather of trance.

Still a better set, than many other Insta-DJs play... no exaggeration, just fine tunes mixed with some loops and fades.

This Chicane mix is pure bliss.

We would go out to the club at 11pm on a saturday night and get back home at around 9am on Sunday (still flying!) shower and put our sunglasses on and lie outside under the sun and play Chicane, Markus Schulz, Lobsinger and other chill tunes. Best years of my life.

@@Wayfinder141 Na, a famous club in Durban, South Africa called 330. many int DJs played there Cosmic gate, Organ Donors, BK and loads more. Carl Cox called it the wildest club he ever played in. Place of legend.

It all died partly due to cell phones and social media because it was a very unifying environment where all the misfits and outliers in society could feel at home on the dancefloor and behave, indulge and dress however they wanted without fear or judgement unlike today where you can end up on the internet. It was a great era.

What a vibe, Nick ! Beeing a teenager, your music was a ray of light back in the days - your #1 Offshore still remains somewhere far away , where no other music composer will reach ... I already stated that if i could choose a song when i was born and when i die ... Offshore would be. Also, Hello-Goodbye, Saltwater, Popinhola (a brilliant remix of Sigur Rós , while keeping it's very own essence), No ordinary morning, Red Skies, Windbreaks - man, you sure raised real music to another level.
