Wow what a mix!

I went and saw Marsh and Luttrell at a venue here in perth about 18 months ago, marsh played first and built it beautifully and then hit a home run in the last hour with his finest and some forgotten classics like Prydz’s ProperEducation….then luttrell hops on and lets the last tune play out, much respect….then drops it down to 90-100 bpm electro,and I’m talking obscure edits and wicked booties of human league etc, and lost half the crowd in half an hour. Now ive warmed up for some amazing DJs over the years, and when someone does that it is BALLSY - it either smacks of complete disrespect for the dance floor, or, they know exactly what they’re doing and inviting you to stay (or go, as a lot of not so educated punters did). But the reward is what luttrell delivered to us that night - so different yet so familiar, electro, breakbeat, house and progressive monsters - his music played his way, and I tip my hat to DJs and producers that know the risk, but also know the reward….and are not afraid to lose the ones that are there for the moment not the journey.

Luttrell was hitting so hard in 2019. His unique sound is captivating. I was set to see him in April 2020. Then lockdowns. I felt so badly for him because he was ready to share his magnificent library with the world and make his money. Thank you so much for this set. P.S.-Marsh and ABGT, take note on how you let a set breathe without advertisements every 2 minutes.

One of the most incredible DJ sets I’ve heard in a long while. One of the very best DJ’s of our generation at the top of his game! I’m not sure why the people there all look a little bored, like it isn’t really there cup of tea! I’d feel so privileged to be there!
