Chiapas | everyone told me to visit Mexico’s greenest state 🌳 | Indigenous village tour
Chiapas is a beautiful state in Mexico. I’m visiting San Cristobal de Las Casas for a few days and want to show you what travel in Mexico is like. I’m visiting the indigenous village of Chiapas. One is Zinacantan and the other is San Juan Chamula.

I’m a solo female traveler in Mexico. I’ve been in Mexico for a year now and love living abroad. Mexican culture has so much to offer so I’m excited to be exploring Chiapas. SAN cristobal de las casas Is a beautiful mountain town in Mexico. Totally different from Playa del Carmen Mexico.

The little boy was talking pretty fast but I believe he was explaining some of the plants around him, he was like a cute little tour guide haha 😆

He was talking about the medicinal uses of the plants, but he was difficult to understand. I think it’s because sometimes indigenous people still speak their native language and Spanish is their second language, so your Spanish has to be really good to make sense of what they are saying if they don’t pronounce the words clearly or correctly. He is so cute thought!

Right! The indigenous have an accent when they speak Spanish. If you live or visit Mexico frequently and especially if you have family there, you will recognize the accent quickly. My aunt sang an old song, called "Borachita me voy," it's sung with an indigenous accent, she sang it beautifully.
Just got back to LA from my trip to Chiapas it was absolutely amazing! Something out of a dream ❤️💚🇲🇽

Hello from Tabasco, great video and great message. Beautiful scenery, have never been to Chiflón even if I heard of it many times. Be sure to go to Palenque as well and Cocona caves. You remind me of that Mos Def song called Umi Say. 'Shine your light on the world to see.'
I love the poncho!!!! 😊😊 Thank you for these videos of Chiapas!!! Thank you for sharing the indigenous culture!!!
Your sweater is absolutely amazing! Purple is my favorite color!
Your videos always leave feeling like I just had a little vacation. yay! Oh and I love love love plantains! There was a Cuban restaurant in West LA that I used to eat at all the time. Ahhh good times☺️
The indigenous clothes suits you fabulously. Mexico is more beautiful than i though. You brought out a awesome perception on Mexico than what is portraits by American media.

Thank you for showing and sharing the indigenous culture in Chiapas. I found Chiapas absolutely fascinating: raw, authentic and magical. I also love the Yucatan though and it also has plenty of Mayan culture, you just have to look for it a bit more. Look forward to your next video, Energi! xx
Hi! I'm from Indonesia and yes we do have many different versions of fried platain. But the most common one is covered in flour batter. BTW, love your videos and thank you for introducing me to the beautiful Chiapas. I hope I can go there one day..
this video.. no words.. just thank you.
I’ve been on a Good Energi wave lately 🔥🔥 so many great vlogs being recommended on my home page
Your videos helps me see different places and learn new cultures. Thank you!
Those pastel colours on you were beautiful! Really enjoyed this video, it’s great to be gradually learning about all the diversity & history of Mexico, I can’t wait to visit. Ps, fried plantain is pretty popular here in the UK, it’s so easy to make too, however we do have some upmarket restaurants that charge around £4-7 just for a few slices🤦🏽♀️. But to buy 1 whole plantain here is around just £1.
Hes talking about the flowers and what to expect and how you can use these in special occasions
Awesome video! We were just in Chiapas, amazing and underrated place! We were going to stay a week and ended up staying over 3 weeks and already can't wait to get back. Love how you gave so much information on the indigenous village! Looking forward to more videos! :D

For us we call the river "niar" (I think it is said in the language spoken in that town) Almost all men and flowers are watered with this water This water is used to water all the flowers There are little fish in here but they can't be seen They come out when we put crums of bread and corn in it. This flower is called "always alive" It is used for wedding arrangements, baptisms and first communion. Some know her as the succulent

Hope to see apartments in San Cristobal and after you have been there a while maybe a cost of living video ? The big con to many people about San Cris are the constant begging and people selling trinkets....one youtuber said it was every 52 seconds when he had a meal and coffee at a restaurant. Thx !

yeah the begging is annoying! but i wouldn’t say it’s that often 😂 if you’re at a restaurant in a touristy area it’ll be more constant!
