Glad you guys liked our truck, we're pretty proud of it. Hopefully you can get your hands on a ZR2 for comparison.

It truly is amazing the engine technology that auto manufacturers employ. The four cylinder is producing amazing amounts of horsepower and torque allowing a mid sized pickup truck like the Colorado to tow over 7000 lbs.

When adjusted for inflation and considering all the features which come standard, modern trucks are actually cheaper today than they were 20 years ago. The problem is wages remained low which means you feel like your dollar doesn't go as far. Blame the corporate overlords who fought tooth and nail to keep employee wages low.

Yup. Thanx govt regulations and manufacturers slapping a ton of crap you don't need into the cheaper options

@@thomasfields2082it’s not that they slap a ton of extra crap on them, they just raise the prices of cheap features and say it’s a good deal when you’re getting bent over

The headlights, All you do is tap the light icon on the top of the screen and you have all the headlight options right there. Most people drive with auto lights anyways.

So many reviewers miss this, it's not inconvenient at all and even if the truck is off like they mentioned if you press the power button in the volume knob the icon at the top for the lights shows up so you can control the lights with the truck off.

Last year on 6-28-23 I bought this same velocity blue color colorado trail boss. That thing will get up and go quickly when you step hard on the gas pedal. But the fuel economy goes down quickly when you drive the truck too hard. I have driven on logging roads in northeast Tennessee and not even put it into 4 wheel drive mode. The G80 locker kicks in when rear wheel slips and helps to go no problem up the logging roads. Love my Colorado trail boss. Paid 44 grand and got cruise contril, larger 18" black wheels with Goodyear territory mud tires. Also got full surround camera system.

"It's not a high-end truck. It's a good truck." That's a perfect description of it. I love my 2019 Silverado Custom Trail Boss for that same reason. Didn't want to pay extra for bells and whistles I didn't want or need.

That is amazing power and torque and towing capacity for a 4 cylinder engine. Fun review! Muds always fun until you get stuck in in. 😂

The review suggests all 3 versions of the 2.7 are the same except for tuning. There are technically 2 different versions of this engine. The base L2R does not have oil squirters for the pistons and uses a lighter-duty 8 speed trans. The 2 L3B versions (390 or 430 torque) are apparently mechanically identical and each uses the heavier-duty trans.

8:45 in the video ....... "The headlight switch is buried deep in the menu". As you go through the setting menu to find the lights instead of just using the shortcut at the top of the screen specifically for the headlights. The headlights might actually be easier to turn on and off with the shortcut than the variety of places they put the on/off swtich on other vehicles i/e turn signal stalk or a knob on the dash. If you hadn't harped on it so long while doing it the hard way it wouldn't be so ironic.

I believe most of my vehicles will turn on their lights when you lock or unlock the doors on the keyfob. So for those times when you just need temporary light I suspect that is all you would have to do versus try to dig into the menu system.

I know you guys aren't that into trucks and some things seem gimmicky, but the tailgate storage is a great spot for a tow strap and tie downs which get wet and dirty when used off road. It's genius. So is the ruler on the tailgate (thanks Ford). I have used my tailgate numerous times to cut wood and have forgotten my tape measure upstairs. I would love a new ZR2 to replace my 2018 ZR2 if it ever dies (103k). Great trucks BTW, one of my favorite videos you guys did was Moab. You both seemed to genuinely have a lot of fun!

I have a 2022 diesel, I bought it after I saw the *LACK OF* engine options on the new Colorado. The 2022 does have temperature numbers, a headlight selection knob, and the back seats seem to have more room (although the bed is not as long). I'm honestly very glad I bought the old model and not this new one. I don't need a fancy big screen in my truck, which seems to be the only notable upgrade.

a turbo four in a truck with that amount of boost is scary to me in terms of its reliability . i get why every car maker has a turbo four but i prefer a NA engine especially in a truck.

51-54% of cell phone customers have an Iphone in the USA. If Carplay ceases to exist in the Chevy, How many sales will be lost because of the omission of Carplay in the future? Something the Chevy folks should entertain before 2 years before its reinstated when the mistake was realized.
