Saferwaters hit me hard many years ago, while wearing headphones at a train station, after being fired. I screamed out the lyrics as tears ran down my cheeks. When I opened up my eyes, some people started - but one guy on the other side of the station must have known the song, or seen my predicament. He smiles and clapped. That moment brought me back to neutral.

That lyric hits me hard. "why has my life made no sound" its like to me...that all of us that try our asses off to make a difference in the world and the impact was so minimal. And it angers you cause you tried your best. This song just carries a shit load of emotion for me.

I still think that Chevelle hit their apex with Sci-Fi Crimes. They had reached the perfect balance between youthful passion and sobering maturity. The lyrics, the melodies and the rhythms were perfect. They had come miles from Wonder What’s Next, but this album didn’t abandon the energy of that album.

craigime i wouldnt sat theyre underrated..... its a different time now..... if it were the 90z they would dominate MTV right now. theyve been great and theyve been great for a very long time now. idky they dont get the exposure they deserve. but. i like them just the way they are. no doubt the most fan friendly band on the planet!!!!!! everything on their website is affordable and autographed. this band does not do things the conventional way. they do it their way....... alot of other b bands should take notes

I have the lyrics My life made no sound tattooed on me. This past Monday, at the age of 44 I was officially diagnosed with autism. My entire life I've felt unseen and misunderstood and this song has always hit my soul at such a profound and deep level. I often can't listen to it without crying. I've never looked into the meaning of this song, because for me, it's like I've been seen for the first time and someone truly understands how I feel and that means so much to me. Learning this during autism awareness month, I'd like to share that females are greatly underdiagnosed and overlooked, because we do not present in the same way as males do. I think that's important to know, because let me tell you having clarity is a beautiful thing. I think I've seen you guys four times live. At least three for sure and I'm planning to come to the Mansfield show. I truly hope you play this song! I keep hoping every time I see you, that you will!

Man, this dudes voice makes me teary like a little wuss. It is just so damn soulful! It is one of the best modern bands I know of.

Brilliant band. American rock is the best music. I would never want Chevelle to go mainstream. They are perfect just where they are.

I used to listen to this album. In ISS because it was the only total album on my cousins ipod. It is my favorite by far. And I grew up on Tool, pro pain, coal chamber, incubus., sublime. Everything but it was great to have CheVelle I can call my generation.

Sci-fi crimes is an awsome album, from the cover art, lyrics, music, mixing and mastering, composition, plus a guitarist/lead singer, awsome drummer, amazing bassist. And breaks from the verse/chorus template numerous times. Just good solid musicianship.

Probably the most underrated song I've ever heard. One of my favorites. This song soars.

I've been listening to Chevelle on and off for years (since their debut album) but lately, it's like WOW what an absolutely incredibly talented band. It's hard to think of any other band that takes the cake over them. I hope they continue to make great music for a long time to come.

Because when you love something you wanna share it with others. A lot of people at this point wouldnt have heard of Chevelle and thats just a sad thing when they are so good! Underrated is only bad when you wanna be selfish and keep your "gems" hidden and close instead of brightening the world and hoping to see them shine bright! :D

They're like Tool and Radiohead. They're successful among the genre but Top40 fans (or fans of any other genre) might not know them because it's not their jam. If Chevelle suddenly started turning out #1 singles they probably wouldn't sound the same and you would "miss the old Chevelle".

Its crazy how they only have 122k subs. They're ridiculously good. I hate these types of comments but seriously, there are so many crappy 2 or 3 hit wonder rock bands from the same time period with close to the same amount of subs and views while you can listen to a whole 2 hour long playlist of chevelle and reasonably like the majority of the songs

Chevelle had numerous hit singles and albums. It was much more than 2 or 3 (I just looked it up). I know it's minuscule compared to what some terrible bands can rake in, 122k subs is quite respectable for an old band still putting out music. Given how many from that time no make music, I'm just glad they're still putting out albums. They'd be a shame to lose regardless of views.

Man this whole album was a fucking banger. I remember getting to hangout with them for about 5-10 minutes in Huntington West Virginia when this album released. I got a signed shirt and album from all of them and the show was phenomenal. Sadly, the only time I’ve seen them but would love to again.

They put so much emotion into their songs

I met Chevelle about a week and a half ago when they played my town on August 24th man I was blushing. I had a full on convo with them tho. Really nice guys!

I remember the way I was, the way I felt, the person I was, when this song came out. Even thought I’ve gotten my shit together, this song brings me back to that feeling of pure emotions of fire I once felt. I can always re live it when I hear this song. I feel alive again

Just listening to this a year into “two weeks to flatten the curve”

Album after album of sheer brilliance....

I don't know of a harder working band. Straight up- they will tell you what they are about; what they stand for.Didn't find out about them until '04-- since then, they're one of my favorite bands.Without a doubt I would pay money to see them live.

I use to think Chevelle was a Tool clone but their music, while influenced by Tool no doubt, is 100% their own. They have made some of the best rock music since 2000. I would argue the best rock band in the 2000's.

How is this not the most popular band on the planet. Its been decades of album after album of perfection. The only complaint I have is its hard to catch there small venues

This song was the song I chose to perform for the first time at a school event filled with kids singing top chart hit after hit, and though the crowd died down a lot since, they didn't know me, the band or the song, It was a really special moment. Everyone was just calmly listening and I'm glad at any opportunity i can get to share GOOD music.

one of the greatest bands out there from this generation....hands down..they will stand the test of time...

When I saw this awesome freaking band in Indianapolis in 2017, the crowd raised this kid who was in a wheelchair. Pete, while singing a song, motioned for the crowd to put him on the stage. Freaking awesome! Kudos to Pete for that one.
