Just wanna say, this series is what took me from “youtube is recommending me chess videos I guess I’ll watch them” to “I think I will play chess now”. Great series by a great teacher!
that was a very underrated 1100 second game! good vid as usual nelson
Of all the creators Ive watched ur the best at explaining the thought process behind each move and that teaches me so much so thanks 😊
Great series. These ear-biting glitches in the audio like at 0:13 occur in many videos on this channel. Would be great to avoid them because they are really nasty on the eardrums, especially for earphone users. They are usually caused by careless cutting of already compressed audio and/or buggy editing software.

It’s not even bad, stop crying
Yess a half hour video! Thanks Nelson for all the dedication you put into this
Thank you so much for this wonderful series! I'm learning so much!
Love these videos! My routine is watching your videos and then playing and practicing afterwards, to see if I can apply some of the new tips and tricks that I learned😅
Question: Would you consider as the rating gets higher and the thought process gets deeper of doing more of a post-game analysis commentary? I know it would be a ton of work but you explaining everything is so helpful.
It’s great to see you, Nelson, at 356,000 subscribers!
Really great content - Thanks again. Keep the up the vibes!
So invested in these vids. Really helping my games
Great thumbnail! And Rxf6 should have been a brilliancy for the opponent! That move looks insane when you first see it.
Chess Vibes I love how you go into detail with things, Chess Vibes you, you are so awesome
Nelson, I want to say I'm a recent subscriber to your channel. I've started playing again after many Years and I must say you've helped me a lot. Good work and keep it up

Welcome aboard!
Love your work Nelson!
Best speedrun ever and W thumbnail and thanks for all the work that you put in your videos ❤
Love these videos Nelson!
love the game reviews, seeing lines you missed in game (and ones id never have seen without being shown)
Living dangerously I see At this rate Peter-Patzer will either get flagged or make a late blunder against some 1200 rando
Awesome video💪🏽💪🏽
great video as always. Also FYI there's a weird clicking feedback noise on your mic throughout some of your videos, around 0:13 on this one.
Love your content Nelson!
Best way to start your day is Chessvibes all the way!
always nice when Nelson uploads!
Please please please back to 1 hour videos 😁
I wonder if nelson will actually look at some traxler theory before the next fried liver game :D
Love your work Nelson..
I didn't know it was called the traxler but I have been avoiding it like the plague with black. Way too scary.
As you climb the rating ladder could you try some openings that you specialize in? Especially d4 openings. Thanks, great series so far!
bippity boppity boo i was here when the video was 17 seconds new:)
It is interesting to plug some of these difficult positions into the analysis board to see how Stockfish/super GM's would play it out.
11:25 don’t feel bad, I didn’t see that checkmate either. Greetings from 700 elo.
I was waiting for this
Nelson will someday reach more subcribers than Gothamchess.

I enjoy him more, but Levi is a stronger player and has already built up a huge following.
Moving your king instead of blocking, I like that. Old school stuff, putting priority on attacks, very nice.
Totally off my Peter...😂😂 Here always off my meter.
Brilliant as ever ❤
(@16:10) 1 … Na5??, 2 d6+! And the pawn is poisoned!! 2 … Kxd6, 3 Nf7 with a family fork. Even with 2 … Kf8, Ke8 or Kd7, 3 Nf7 still follows.
Bro said let get me get on that ladder for a thumbnail we r watching a Legend in the making everyone
i'm binge watching this more than netflix.
Great speedrun! (FYI: It gets easier as the kids get older)
That thumbnail 😂 “Honey, our crazy neighbour’s looking through the windows again!”

That thumbnail is adorable 🤣🤣
In the first game, after Bb5+ and Ke7... what happens after directly d6+, followed by Qxb7? Qxd6 is maybe losing on the spot, but even after Kxd6... can Black survive this? Thanks and keep up the absolutely amazing job you are doing! Best, Victor
Loving this climb. Really enjoy your play style and thought process. Earnt a sub 🎉
6:51 i would play knight to e4 because black can't take the pawn because a fork
That second game was pretty good
Clicked for the cutie patutie, stayed for the cutie patutie.
The second game was wild!!
Can you recommend some openings?
at 4:00 i was thinking of pinning his knight to the king with my bishop and letting him capture the knight. we could recapture with the pawn right after and set up a discover check that would make a queen after pawn takes rook. if they decide to capture your pawn instead, you take back with the bishop and it forks the king and rook. is that not a good move? i was kinda hoping he would mention it but he didnt, which makes me think theres something wrong with this move that Im not seeing.
Interesting how different minds work. When you played Na2 I said, "But Nelson, what are you going to do on Rf6?" Then, bam, Rf6 happened and you seemed astounded. I figured it was just a bad move and that's why you haven't even mentioned it.
You got in time trouble in both games, some youtuber just announced a time management course maybe you should take it. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Crazy
16:50 What if white played d6 instead of castling? That would have allowed the fork on rook and queen, if I’m not mistaken.

18:44 Ah, here it comes, but too late (after b5) I suspect.
Amazing games
You should do bullet speedrun and blitz they are more entertaning imo

Have you reached your 1100 rating? I dropped from 1250 to 1150 recently :'D
Nice face on the thumbnail. Some unusual openings in the lower ranks, keeps you on your heels.
best thumbnail ever :)
THUMBNAIL😭🤣🤣🤣
Thumbnail --- 🔥🔥
Nice thumbnail😂😂👍
16:48 After Nd4, isn't d6+ just crushing for White? Whether you take with pawn or queen, or simply move the king, you get forked queen and rook with Nf7, defended by the bishop. EDIT: Lol, and it was played, but too late.

No, because black takes with queen and then checkmates white in 4 moves !
I want more
When bobby
waiting rating climb 1 to magnus carlsen elo
🔥
24:53 The knight could also be trapped with Bh5.

Either one is fine, but the Bishop was on a more active square.
epic normal average chess why its great
Any chance you could play The English opening as white in 1 game??
At 8:25 why doesnt he play c2 and then ba3 instead pf bishop first to threaten the rook and threaten a promotion
You should use some d4 openings! Keep starting e4 is a bit boring now
@davidfleb

Both games in this video he played with Black
25:32 why didn't the white just take the bishop at d6
I got to 940 with u and kept losing idk whats wrong with me now 830 Need tipss
How do you know that these players are not using an engine?
@jewelsofjuly7377
10 ай бұрын
If you are good enough you will see some misses or blunders which an engine doesn't do unless its heavily lower rated
At least you couldv gone onto an actual ladder... KZread these days
Why couldn't he take the rook at 22:40 can someone explain.
So basically you have a chess smurf account

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great series
i have 2202 elo how do i get a titel
Please, don't cut the pieces off the video.
Seems like this rating climb is too slow. Like after you win enough games in a row it should place you against a significantly higher rated opponent than it's been doing
Wtf is this thumbnail 💀
These are fun. I am currently 1070, but have ranged from 1020 to 1100 in the past month. I see a big difference between the 1000s and the 1100s, in that the 1000s do blunder (like myself) at some point most games, but the solid 1100s are quite tough, don't blunder so much, and often try original lines which throw you. I thought your two opponents played very well.
1000 elo it trash.
WOW first

I love your videos, but: stop agonising about the Traxler. If you want to play it, re-read it before you do the video. You waste the playing time agonising what to move, and keep saying it is super-complicated. If it is, don't play it. Keep up the good stuff, it is lots of fun watching these videos!
Here come the crazy thumbs.
