@@mariosnum1fan I don't think it has to do with him being boring, I agree he is one of the most entertaining to watch (not just loud and overdramatic but actually entertaining XD), but what I meant is he has a certain voice which I can listen to and fall asleep in no time haha
Wow please do more of these long time control commentaries! Really nice insight into your thought process! Cheers!
Great video. 30 minutes are so much better because you get more time to explain your thought process. Loved it. Great opponent too

I love all of your live play commentary games. I also note how you manage time. I am sure you are playing somewhat slower than normal because you have to vocalize your thought process for our sakes. But you are good enough at short games that being low on time compared to your opponent is not an issue. Big two thumbs up for this format!
I just woke up, watching this before my kids get up
I have dozed off during a few but that's totally a tribute to how many and often I watch even when I should stop. I watched this in two goes. Always great hearing the thinking process particularly with that g6 block which I get stuck on.
Very much awake all through. Excellent vid. I'm currently watching otb in Iceland open tournament. Sometimes I get very frustrated by the players taking so much time over what seems simple moves. This explains why they do that. Even at the expense of putting themselves in time pressure.
This analysis is great. Thank you for sharing all variants und your thoughts.
This should be a series 👍🏽👍🏽
What a cool idea for a video Nelson! Love it!
Love your videos Nelson, cheers!
great video Nelson, thank you for the insights!
Would love to see more of this.
Sir I have been enjoying your videos. I appreciate that you may already have one (going through them at the moment). I would like to see a video with Rules of Thumbs i.e. Bishops over Knights or Pawns taking in the direction of the centre of the board. A recent video on tackling knight by moving the King above or to the side of the Knight and not diagonally (unless a extra square away) was useful.
I love falling asleep to chess videos, but I also genuinely enjoy your videos!
I always watch your chess video before bed.... You're channel is my sleeping pill I feel blessed to have discovered this channel
Keep it as a side series thing. Its a good idea for people who watch you in the evening.
Love it!!! more of this!!
15:00 Since you spent 4 minutes contemplating this move, I'd like to ask what was wrong with Qxe5? Because that came to my mind almost immediately and sets up the same checkmate pattern with Bh8, then Qg7.
@ranitbose9609

Then Re8, move the queen and black can save the bishop and has created room to run with the king
@kopazwashere
Ай бұрын
Obvious Re8 threatening favorable trade by black which seems to be the theme with white trying to barrage seems to be issue. If black has connected rooks like that i guess it will never work.
Thanks for helping me fall not asleep with this commentary that's worth staying not staying not awake for!
Love this idea ❤
please upload more of these!
Your voice is harder to fall to sleep to than guys like Eric Rosen, but still nice and chill. This game wasn't boring at all, but I wasn't trying to fall asleep when I watched it.
I absolutely loved it!
Really enjoyed this, Nelson. Please continue to do games with longer time controls.
Was thinking about subscribing then you posted this! Great idea
Finally! Thank you. Chess Vibes works on so many levels especially when you need something to stimulate your brain before sleeping - brilliant
Thank you for this
at 37:20 that was a 5 second move. Even though you looked at the move before, a few seconds more would have prevented the blunder.That black pawn needed to be there.
Love your commentary chess videos!! Don’t feel ashamed about losing.
Yes Nelson. I actually saw in advance what ended up happening. Taking that pawn on e4 was a HUGE mistake. I saw rook taking bishop and then you taking that rook with your queen and then his queen checking and you loosing your queen.
@southerncross4956

I’m sure you did……..
Too bad that you could not pull this one out, but I got a lot of benefit from it as I do with all your commented games. I also like the double commented games with your opponent giving their thoughts on move selections. Never dozed off for a moment. Thanks so much.
Yup, officially sleep worthy. Fell asleep at the rook/queen skewer. Woke up in time to see the ad playing at the end of the video!
I used to take a melatonin pill to help me fall asleep, but after watching this video, I gave up on melatonin. Actually, this video has helped me fall asleep faster. Thank you for this

DO A SERIES OF THIS
This video will get over a million 👀
Never fell asleep in many dozens of your videos! This was the first one... And it was 8pm before dinner. Only because you suggested! @nelson Better say next time: "You may energize watching this video if you like, and be motivated to achieve your highest goals"
If you put a bunch of these in a playlist I would use it a lot
The 🐐 keep doing what you’re doing man! Would love to play against you sometime being around but a bit lower than your ELO!
Haha, i sometimes go to sleep with the martin challenges in the background!
At 17:00, I believe Qxe5 is mate in 2: Bh9 and Qg7#... except for a queen sacrifice delay on b2! or e3!.
@DaDitka

Couldn't Black move either of his rooks to the e file and stop the mate from happening? White could play Qd4 and Black would then force a queen trade, ending the threat.

Never heard of irony? His opponent played at his level. Nelson lost because he messed up a drawn position by looking for a win that wasn't there.
Chess ASMR, nice! Your voice is very soothing, and even though the game was interesting, my eyes did get heavy midway through! Wow!
Wow what a tricky game.
Brilliant, double 'exclam'. !! 😎
OH GOSH!!
nelson just revolutionized chess streaming
At 41:15, after c5, why does black take the pawn with queen? Why not Qb3 instead. Thats a threath of mate in one move. Perhaps Bd3 is a anoying defence there?
Why will I sleep to this 😂
This game is far too tense to fall asleep to.
That sucks. Kxe4 literally ended the game. Makes sense. That pawn was preventing skewer being formed. Still bit too tricky to handle with 2 rooks though
After Rxe7 did you have Be2?
