In my (much) younger days I studied 'Traditional' (not the 'Sport') Tae Kwon Do... Cheon ji is the name of the first basic pattern and translates as "Heaven and Earth" ... it focusses on Basic Stances, Basic Punches and Basic Blocks ... and if you learn them well they become a foundation for you to grow from.

Defend and attack, blocking and punching, passive and active and the journey begins. I studied song mu kwan. Many of the forms originated from Okinawa and we're virtually identical.

@@FancyCP30 However, that is true. Japanese and Chinese martial arts influenced the formation of early Taekwondo. In particular, Shotokan karate has a significant impact on pumsae (Kata). Decades ago, the discussion of the issue itself was taboo due to anti-Japanese sentiment caused by Japan's colonization, but it is a part that all Taekwondo elders acknowledge. The important fact is that any culture cannot be completely influenced by external influences, and it is natural to develop through mutual exchange. In addition, taekwondo has already evolved into a completely different martial art from karate in Japan, and the world recognizes it. I am Korean and started in 1978 at Mudeokgwan, and practiced Taekwondo black belt 2nd class, Ju-do black belt 1st class, and Kwon-beop(bare-handed martial arts) and weapons during the Joseon Dynasty for many years.

Great! It's Cheonji-gung. I've shot that bow before. Now i shoot another Korean bow, 'Gaya-gung'. ( I am learning Korean traditional archery in Korea.)

Wunderbar, indeed! I have fallen in love with this Korean masterpiece. It draws very smoothly and shoots silently. Nice design also. Very much resembles my biocomposite Scythian bow built by Csaba Grozer team. Now I set my mind on this one and will strive to find and buy it😍

Wow, this is the Korean bow I was thinking of getting, but no one did a review of it. And now my favourite reviewer has it! How does it compare to the others? I know the KTB is a bit cheaper but if your happy to spend $600 then which would you say has the better performance? KTB, KTB 2, YMG or Cheonji?

Really nice bow and free shipping, too, although I'm still not good enough to justify that price, but for what you get the price seems pretty reasonable

Can't wait to see the new Long Oghuz bow from Lucas Nawalny.

I prefer gloves to rings and tabs because I have more control and I want to feel the string to some extent. But since I shoot 55# to 70# I had to pimp this glove a bit, I cut up a leather strip used for arrow shelves and stuck on like 5 layers to my glove, now I get better protection for the heavier draws. 😄

I love it when bows are build with brain.

For the money, you get a Korean war bow by Lukasz Nawalny, which is, in my humble opinion, one of the best bows available.

If I have a chance, I would like to introduce the real traditional bows made by a Korean artisan🥰 It will be impeccably beautiful

Can u review Korean bow called 편전? Pyeon jeon in English writing I guess? It’s the most destructive bow ever and due to its unique design, unless u had a special tool, enemies couldn’t even use the recovered arrows - I wanna c ur review on this bow

With a sixth pound bow, do you ever fined that it makes the museks on your arms very tired, I have a 25 pound bow as I mention before, and I get tired after 5 arrows but I still keep going

try drawing with your elbow instead of your hand/arm, and expanding your shoulders.

Pretty Korean bow! Seems to perform quite well! I still think I like the YMG as well, but the horn belly makes it look more authentic. Freddy archery seems to have a handle on the Korean bow market. Think it's cold there come here to Maine it's just 10° F this morning haven't been able to shoot in weeks, will have to struggle thru till spring and hope I can still hit the target in April! Lol! Great review as always my friend!

Looks like after living in Malta your body need to get accustomed with colder climate Mr. Armin :D

Fun Fact: In ancient times, Scythian related people used to live close to the Korean Pensula, that is why Korean and Scythian bows look so similar.

But once do I swear to be a much a good martial artist as I can and with a specialization on using archery with heavy bows both on the ground like Lars Anderson and The Running Archer and on the Saddle like Kasai and Novotny. My ultimate goal in life is when I get old before leaving this world I want to build the best martial arts academy cum school for orphans who not only get the best education but be experts on Classical music and Classical Dance excellent Martial artists especially archery both on the ground and on the Saddle

The only thing that's "fancy" about this bow is the real horn, but even then you feel the handshock. Really not worth the price, but that's just my 2 cents.

Looks like Cheonji is only good to 31" draw.

It's been a long time! The quality of the Korean bow is disappointing because of the official price system.

@@hwalssogi8063 It's hard to explain exactly because I'm not good at English. Korean bow has official approval system. This system prices products equally. (The reason why Korean bow is cheap compared to performance) The price is set even before make the bow. Carbon-laminated bows are under 200USD. ( Korea's domestic standards) In my opinion, It is difficult to completely take care of the exterior at a low price. And diversity decreases because development costs are difficult to cover. But from the perspective of the beginer, there is also an advantage of being able to buy a bow with guaranteed performance at a low price. In the video review, used a horn, and I don't know whether it's official approval or not, so the price is not as cheap as I said. By the way, nice to see your nickname!
