Thank you so much. I was nervous about approaching something that I don’t understand and I never want to give out false advice or false comments, but I’m glad it was perceived well. Also you never who or from where someone can stubble across your small video on this side of the internet and I want to be open as much as I can and create a place where it may hopefully make a difference to someone. Sometimes just saying nothing, says it all. Respect. This would be a perfect song to play at child abuse advocate or speeches or commercial for awareness of abuse.

Hua Chenyu rearranged this song and it's completely different from the original version and I almost forgotten how the original version is like after seeing Hua's performance of this song! He totally nailed it and so heart breaking to see this performance, Hua is amazing, isn't he? Thanks for reacting to this song and looking forward to see more!

At first Chenyu said it wasn't his story, he just related to many people who went through domestic violence. Later, in an interview, Hua Chenyu said his dad wasn't good at all to his mom or himself. After years, they divorced. He looked up for his dad and they reconciled. His dad has another family and he has a 4 y.o. half-sister he loves much. Hua Chenyu didn't give details of the familiar problems he had, but we can guess.

Hua Chenyu is just that singer that brings out SOUL in his every song and every song rearrangement and every stage performances... He uses his vocals in ways vocal coaches will reject because the way he positions his chords and tongues might make the vocal destroy easily.. but doing it that way makes him sing better and clearer and more out there.. Most people pronounce his name like the Police song : "Every breath you take I'll be Hua Chenyu." While you are at Singer 2018, you should check out KZ Tandingan's performances starting with her great "Rolling In The Deep" cover. Also, the song "Heaven" by Tengri is unique.

Halo pronouncing Hua with the "H" sound is correct. Just fyi the song is NOT his experience, though he did had a depressing childhood, his parents divorced when he was 2, he's from a super wealthy family so his dad is always away from business. and he was left with different nannies or maids who were strangers to him so he always chased them away, hence when he was little he yearned for love yet fearful and rejective, he feared to go to school to meet people he just hided in his room playing his own music, he now urges others to look out for such lonely kids and give them loves they need, which he performed a one of a kind, creepy but artistically beautiful live performance "Fake monk" to express his old pain (here's the link with interview which I hope u can react to it thks, and it's eng sub: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qaSr0Y-rf9S2XbQ.html.

@@Loly When young he ended up like taking care of his own self and he did well in school but his dad had never gave him a single praise, when he was lured to another city (by FOOD 😅 because he LOVES to EAT) to join a singing competition, he ended up getting 1st. That's when his dad gave him the first praise that he is proud of him, he was so happy that he said winning is secondary to his dad's praise. He was so adorkable back then which he still is every now n then when not performing cause that's him LOL very natural. So from overcoming his childhood issues himself he becomes a spiritual and enlightened person, u can see from some deeper interviews, and he disclosed he thought of becoming a monk after high school. His dad remarried and he has a baby sis he doted on n he said when he was young he thought step mothers r evil (LOL fm fairy tales) but he realised his stepmom is not hahaa. 😅🌸🌸
