Cheetahs are much more friendly and laid back than the other big cats, very curious as well. Cheetahs are pretty much just big and fast cats. They can even be domesticated, much more easily than any other big cat.

true, true. Wow, I didn't know that the cheetah had survived the ice age! The equator is also a safe place to be when there is an ice age, too! I hope the cheetah continues to live on strong.

The cheetah is the least aggressive of the big cats toward humans. They use to be kept by kings for hunts, and are the most trainable of the big cats. They have even been domesticated in history.

That's because they aren't a real threat to humans. They tend to run from them rather than attack. I got to visit some behind the scenes at the national zoo. A lot of hissing was involved, but they were far less threatening than say, lions or tigers.

I'm sure that wildebeast got scratched up plenty (cheetah's can't retract their claws!) The cheetahs don't have any reason to scratch his eyes out though, they just want sustain him to get at his neck- it's a big problem though cause cheetah's heads are so small and have trouble choking the huge neck of the wildebeast. They're better off going after gazelle, but they gotta take things into consideration like what's available, weather conditions and where other predators are lurking around at.

Did you miss the part where I said "Don't normally"? The Wildebeast was almost an adult, the ones they generally bring down are younger ones. In addition, this very video says they don't normally take them down either. Sorry, but think I'll take their word over your untrained word.

So, because a leopard lives and hunts alone, it's not as smart as a cheetah? That is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Both animals are equally intelligent in the ways they live and hunt. They're both smart, just different.

That wildebeest rocked. Disappointed the other wildebeest didnt come to his aid like buffalo do (like at kruger) but he was still too tough for all of them. And he looked like a smaller wildebeest. Those hooves could have landed a deadly blow to the cheetahs, who were lucky I wasnt there or I would have blown them all away for trying to kill that innocent wildebeest.

Cant agree with you there, as a fighter myself i believe i have a good understanding of how a fight between a determined man and cheetah would go. Remeber a boxing match is veryyyy different from a real fight. It would be difficult to skirmish with a cat which has claws and canines. Human advantage would be Strength leverage and build. Cheetahs would just not be able to take the damage a human would dishout. On the other hand a cheetahs claws would do nothing more than fleshwounds on the man.

the greenies say that if there is any development in northern areas all the caribou will be scarred for life by the experience . that is not true , all the caribou will pay any attention to is hunting . most animals are the same as are these big cats .humans are not really a part of their life and unless humans interfere somehow then they are ignored .

cheetahs are 100 pounds... humans can weight 250 pounds... Not to mention we are primates and they are felines. They have elastic muscles and lightweight framing to maximize speed while some humans have extremely stocky framing and heavy fast twitch muscle. Civilized humans are pathetic yes but... a wildman would scare a cheetah off before he could break its head in.
