Gerda is very relaxed about the ear cleaning procedure, even though it is a new and unfamiliar procedure to her. To be more exact Sasha already did it once, but until that moment she did not know what it is. She even seems to enjoy it)))

That's how feline family units clean each other though. A cat can only get to so much of their own body to clean it themselves, and so they rely on mutual cleaning as part of bonding affection. You clean my missed spots, I clean yours.

If I did not see it, I would not have believed it. The way this family is with big cats and the way the cats are with them is nothing short of astounding.
You can tell she enjoys being cleaned and that she loves her care giver! She is so beautiful and majestic!

Such a beautiful cheetah! And what a bond these two have! My domestic cat loves it when I clean out his ears also - not that a domesticated animal can be compared with a wild animal. Also, my cat’s tongue is rough & raspy. I imagine a cheetah’s tongue is even more so. But, a lovely video. A joy…

Brought my cat to the vet when he was a kitten because he was a rescue. He loved the ear cleaning! Leaned into it, purred real hard, the works! That was about the only part he enjoyed, though.

We do excrete much more than salt though, minerals & compounds from the foods we eat..like the smell of our urine is noticeably distinct after eating certain foods..the skin is the largest excretory organ..call it "#3" Eeew, but true!
You could almost see how intelligent these cats are… what a beautiful creature.
That is one patient Patient! What a privilege to be loved by a cat like Gerda!

It does feel good for dogs too. These animals can't clean their ears and faces and I'm guessing they rely on each other for that. The cat was just reciprocating the favor.

This cat is being very patient! She knows her daddy, and she really trusts him! Cats (large and small) have a sense about what it means to be groomed.
I got two housecats and they both love it when i clean their ears. Seems to calm and relax them. Almost therapeutic to the both of them. Glad to see the similarities between big and small cats.
You have done such a wonderful job in keeping healthy and happy that she sits calmly while you clean out her ears. What a nice cat.

Awwww, Gerda is a very sweet girl who loves to give kisses to Dad, Mom or whoever is there. She is a very good cheetah 🐆 so loving and beautiful. And it is amazing how well Gerda behaved when Dad was cleaning her ears……my dogs ran away from me when I did that! 😂😂 But not Gerda, she is a gentle soul. And Masha is right, Gerda does look like a Princess being so elegant and classy. Slightly warmed olive oil on a small piece of cotton ball, gently rub... they will be begging for more. Our one cat lays there and drooooooooools while i clean his ears. They even like the taste of the oil.

I've had cats that loved it, and had cats that hated it. Sammy had some truly disgusting ears, and she would hop on my desk (where she knew I kept a huge stash of her ear cleaning supplies) and ask to have her ears cleaned at least twice a week, sometimes three, and you always came away with enough wax to make a fricken candle with. :P She always purred like a V8 the whole time. Sissy you couldn't get into the same room with a Q-tip with her, but it didn't really matter, because the once a year or so that I insisted, it was pretty much always clean. Also funny, because she was always SO insulted afterwards, and wouldn't show any kitty love for a few days.

I really hate it when people criticize their pets. You are very blessed to even have your cat. Maybe you don’t spend enough time with her. Maybe you aren’t sensitive to her feelings. I’m sure the problem is you and not the kitty. Why can’t you just love her as she is?

What a drag, I couldn't even hear that. I'm 80% deaf and wear hearing aids, so I need the captions, but I can hear a little bit. Just sad that I can never hear a cat purr again. I've even tried to put my ears right up to my cat's neck to hopefully hear him, but nope... Boo! I miss the purring sound of cats. I can't even imagine how awesome this cat's purr must be. Such a beautiful cat this is too. 🙂

Sasha is grooming Gerda, so of course Gerda grooms him back! Allogrooming of the ears is very common among felines of all kinds. Gerda must trust Sasha very much. BTW, I didn't know that cheetahs could keep up a continuous two-way purr the way a house cat does.
I have never liked the idea if keeping a wild animal as a pet as itnis inherently a dangerous proposition but this girl is truly so sweet and loves you so much. Her constant purring is adorable!

That’s an incredible point I didn’t even think of lol. It’s almost like they’re just not afraid cause they don’t seem themselves as potential pray for humans so they just end up seeing them as companions

Gerda is a sweet girl. She has no problems to have her ears clean. She is licking Sasha a lot. My favorite purring cheetah. She is so adorable./ Gerda es tan dulce. No tiene problems en dejar que Sasha le limpie los oídos. Lame a Sasha muchísimo. Mi guepardo favorita que ronronea sin cesar.
