I would have to agree with you on this one. They do tolerate each other, and don't really display any "aggressive tendencies" past hissing at each other and chasing each other around the house / yard. All in all, I would consider this a win, considering they DIDN'T grow up together their entire lives, as you said.

С кошками нужно быть очень аккуратным У меня питомник домашних кошек и то, бывает всякое Все ласковые и ручные, но это звери Они могут быть очень не предсказуемыми, мы не придаёт этому значения, а бывает , что даже какой то неуловимый жест может вызвать непредсказуемую реакцию, вообще все животные опасны, они же в любом случае хищники Вообще я считаю это большой риск держать любых животных в доме, тем более взрослых хищных кошек Желаю вам, чтобы ничего не случилось Но это все очень рискованно и опасно

What makes it difficult is Puma hunt by stalking their prey and attacking them from behind and Cheeta doesn't. Instinctual to Messi, he believes he is being attacked despite the fact it's far more likely Gerda is indeed trying to play with him. Another example of this is Cheeta and Dog make good friends (they pair them in zoos), but there is one major hurdle which is when dogs want to engage in play they collapse their front quarters to the ground and hold their hind quarters tall which to a Dog means play to a Cheeta it means fight (as they clap their front paws at something they really don't like/wish to fight). So, it requires time, and truthfully it may never work due there age as well as when they encountered each other. They may be just too themselves for it to be possible. But, I do hope for all of them.

I probably don't need to say it to a person from Idaho but a warning for everyone else: Messi is a rare exception. Cougars are not normally sociable with people, they can and will maul any human to death if they feel threatened - don't ever try to approach them. AFAIK cheetahs normally prefer to just stay clear of people they don't know, but they are similarly capable of killing a person rather quickly if they need to.

I am American, so I don't quite get the moose reference, but I do get the general gist of what you meant. I agree, domesticated housecats require very little effort - they eat, they use their litter box, and they sleep wherever they want whenever they want. These two, there was alot more to it. Sasha and Masha had a big job ahead of them with getting these two to where they are now. Much more complicated situation.

We use this reference to accent the size and power of an animal or human being. The idiom "хлопот не оберёшься" means "you'll get a lot of troubles". So, the whole meaning of my words was "we usually have enough troubles even with domestic cats but what we see here is a pair of big strong animals". Her sudden movements is what makes him not fully trust her. I do not know how long these two cats have seen each other but she looks like she closer to trusting him than the other way around. But eating out of same bowl with their heads next to each other is some progress. Probably a good four or five years in same backyard with each other before he trusts her to really physically play fight together or groom each other. If that not happening after five years this maybe as much progress that one can expect. Just tolerating each other.

Gerda knows exactly what Messi's Motive is and that's to annoy her ... like a little kid would do to ANNOY his older sister...His goal is to run as fast as he can back into the house for safety ....after poking with her...she knows how to clobber Messi on the head or smack him with her paw... unlike Kira the hairless cat she used her little paw on top of Messi's head but it didn't bother him one bit, he barely felt it and he kept walking going about his own business but with Gerda its the opposite.. He knows from more than once what a smack on the head from Gerda feels like and that's why he knows now how to tease Gerda and run as fast as he can ..🏃‍♂🏃‍♂😹🏃‍♀🏃‍♀🐅

Agree with you.Exposure to each other from time to time helps and its proven it too bc if anyone noticed the change how Gerda reacts to seeing Messi now? She's no longer hissing at him but just looking and passing him by or ignoring him but she knows Messi's playful tactics and yes, being she's a power house cheetah she will discipline Messi if she can and she's the oldest of the two..

That was amazing to see.

I will admit, it has been quite the interesting progression between those two. I am glad there doesn't seem to be any real catfights past some hissing at each other. Even that seems to have died down a bit as of lately, but then again, I don't see what happens when the cameras are off. Either way, those two absolutely own my heart.

I unfortunately think it's a true cat/dog relationship. Messi will always run, triggering Gerda's prey drive even though she might be just trying to play. Messi doesn't understand that way of playing and is genuinely worried, thus runs, only perpetuating the cycle.

What an amazing video 😻💖💝😍. So happy to see Messyush learn to adjust with Gerda who scratched him at least twice in this compilation 😻💝. Messyush was so cute when he swiped at the air warning her 😻. I don't think he expected her to be aggressive as Sacha has raised Messyush to be practically a Saint 😄😻😍. Love how one time they kissed 😻😍. Messyush runs so fast 😍 especially for his shorter build and the fact that he was running against the cheetah 😍😻. Supposedly Pumas can run upto 50 mph and cheetahs upto 80mph. However the front leg muscle advantage is with Messiyan. It was nice to see Messyush didn't treat Gerda aggressively when she stepped in the house unlike gerda who scratched him. 😑. Masha, again amazing video skills. You are an awesome pet mom for both your wild cats. You and Sacha speak their language so well without hurting them. Thanks for sharing 😻💝💖.

Cheetahs _can_ run really, really fast but they rarely choose to do so, unless they need the speed to catch their prey. Part of the reason for this is that even a short burst at top speed results in a massive lactic acid build-up in their muscles.

@@resourcedragon Thanks so much for sharing, didn't know 💝🙂. Fact that they have that speed option to survive is an amazing boost for life and gift of nature. I've seen videos of gazelles escaping cheetahs, that's survival too 🙂, Nature can be brutal, survival of the fittest seems cruel. Sadly they say cheetahs in the wild are declining 😞. Glad Masha and Sacha are raising Gerda. These creatures reflect the greatness of Nature and Evolution, always fascinating 😍😻. Hope you have a great day 💝.

Больших кошек нельзя бояться, если такая кошка увидит что ее бояться, она будет просто Доминировать в доме, Месси любит Сашу, он просто ждет его с работы, и спит с ним, а Герда больше к Маше привязана, она чувствует женщину в семье и поэтому ласковая с Машей, а вообще меня удивляет как в этой семье уживаются и Пума и Гепард?
