Yes it's the earlier 12 valve 5.9L Cummins that had the 6 rocker covers.

Al from the skid factory did a whole video series doing a cummins conversion to his patrol he got the engine built in canada by deboss garage was a very interesting build Al's patrol sounds like a diesel beast he upgraded the chassis everything really if I had the time and cash and workshop I would most definately love to do a cummins conversion myself even for fun I wonder how quick in a lighter vehicle they would go down the quarter mile they are capable of being built to withstand about 1000hp I am not a diesel expert but if I were to mess with diesel it would be a cummins

I’ve done a bit of looking around and it mad 325hp and 827nm

The 12v is an absolute beast. The rest don’t compare in bullet prof years of madness. Bet in diffs and trans, over the scale of the motor. P pumps are scary and watch it with over power runaways. The hell with the last of the v8s, these monsters are haunting

that is a top build!

All Nissan 4 wheel drives should be have a Cummins from the factory.

I like to see it do some of the tracks that the the other one has done before saying yes to that

You have clearly been infected friend. It's ok. Just allow yourself to love it. The Cummins power is intoxicating. I now have 4. Because I haven't got 5 yet.

Hey Rod how would you compare the 4L80E to the Allison they use behind those 6bt's in the US???? In comparison to price vs reliability???

6BT only way to go for a diesel. Has all the power you'll need plus a lot more.

Hey Rod did you get a chance to get it out on the interstate and open her up, let the big dog eat lol,? What was the tachometer at cruising speed around 70 mph ish? Did it shift into overdrive smooth?

Still waiting for the new long motor to arrive from Toyota Nathan. When I get that done I will be able to enjoy her again!

So that’s a 12v Cummins right? Well what did y’all do bc here in the us Silverado’s have the 4l80e and I gotta 98 Dodge Ram 2500 24v Cummins it’s an 47re trans and I’m tearing it apart bc I gotta tuner idk what to do with it..

The one in the video is a 24v, at 2:56 he mentions it.

He said it's the 24v. The 4L80e is more available here. Because all the US trucks are imported in left hand drive and converted here. So expensive and hard to get parts for locally

Seen in another similar build same engine in a gq wagon getting 11 litres to the hundred and 13 when towing also using an automatic
