Hey, Matt! Been following you for a while and learn from and enjoy your work. I have a question that I'm has been answered, and I have just missed it. In tonight's vid a piece of the ritual, you do, stood out to me. When you transition from one side to the other, on each belt, you flip the blade and, then, you place the flat onto what I think is the tool rest, examine something, and then proceed with the new side. What is going on in that part of the process? Thanks

Thanks Rudi! On that tool the place where I rest the blade is flat and the belt is angled. There is an adjustment to control the angle of the belt. So, I'm leveling the blade, taking a moment to focus on my grip, then trying to hold the blade flat as I take it up to the belt. I hope that helps!

Also, have you been welding? That burn is cause for concern. SPF for protection from sun or welding UV!

Thanks for your concern, but no, it's the skin I was blessed with.
