The fish closes its mouth on the weed guard so when the weed guard is out of the way you got a perfect hook set but you got set it really hard

Surprised that you get to fish golf courses, but, amazed they let you put a boat in their ponds. Wish my courses were that nice
Those jigs are made for completely different scenarios. They will both catch bass, but if your in heavy cover fishin for 5+ with braid your going to choose the first one. Always use the best tool for the job. I waste alot of money on lures but I’ve never spent 10$ on a jig although I do spend 7. The stealth fieder jig to me is the best all around jig.
I like Terminator jigs. Moderately priced, very well made, rattle, variety of weights and colors, wire keeper, and locally available at Dick's. Caught my PB on one.
