I have %1 all around %3 front windshield, blocks sun and heat good even tho it’s not ceramic
They're not the same darkness, though, are they? The Subaru tint is much lighter than either the BMW or the Tesla.

Ceramic film use nano particles to reject infrared heat from the sun. Darkness blocks out light coming through the glass but not the heat. This is the biggest misconception for consumer when shopping window tint. If you want heat rejection and comfort inside your car, ceramic film is designed to do that while non ceramic film are designed to for look, privacy and UV only. Hope that answer your question.
