Cheap Outdoor Water Mist Cooling System, maybe for Off Grid - 1207
Ғылым және технология
I test out a water mist system, for outside cooling down hot sweaty people :-)
I watch quit a few KZreadrs in Portugal,, and they have struggled with 42C+ temperatures. And we have har record high temperatures here in denmark as well. So I wanted to see if this might be a solution. To keep cooler when it is really hot.
[Affiliate Links] - The system in the video, was €26,25 I think I was very lucky,,now it is way more.

My PlayHouse is a channel where i will show, what i am working on. I have this house, it is 168 Square Meters / 1808.3ft² and it is full, of half-finished projects.
I love working with heating, insulation, Servers, computers, Datacenter, green power, alternative energy, solar, wind and more. It all costs, but I'm trying to get the most out of my money, and my time.

Ah, a house in Portugal! So we might see a multi site datacenter with full redundancy in the future 😉? Thank you for making these videos!

My Portuguese PlayHouse,, I haven't gotten anything yet,, but is going to be looking again at the start of September.
Love it 👍♥ As you say a small pressure chamber after the pump. Maybe a 2L fizzy drink bottle with a rubber bladder inside could work. Top idea for hot days. 🤣

Great idea!,, but I just looked up 0.8Mpa,, that is 8 BAR (up to 8BAR) I need one of the better fizzy drink bottle's :-)
You genuinely made me LOL... I had the video on in the background while I was working on other things, and turned around to see that on your head and burst out laughing. Thanks for making my day

Hi Morton, I would like to see it fully soldared powered! Your idea with an pressure tank will help with the pulses i think. Maybe you could try to connect an pressuretank from a CV system. I would love to see that! Greets from the netherlands

Those are good little pumps, I have a couple. They will self prime if the outlet is open. Could run it at a lower voltage to reduce the motor speed so it doesn't pulse so often, perhaps 8 volts? (Don't want to go too low though, or it might overheat.)
@MyPlayHouse
Жыл бұрын
Humm less voltages,, I did not think of that.. maybe.
You could get more time running it direct on 12vdc. Hook it directly to the batterry. Converting to 12vdc from 120vac takes power and it is waste.

If you look carefully, you will see that I did not use the power brick,, I did run of the 12v output. So I do agree with you.
Marine sites may have a small boat sized pressure tank fit for the project.

Or make one out of a little gas canister..
Not meant as a safety rant, but a tip is to use clean water each time to minimize the risk of legionella.

Yes point taken..
one thing that would worry me would be lesteria or other things in the water system, the ones that are used in the veggie department in the local stores are way bigger with cleaning systems.

Future video intro: thank you to my Patreons who payed for this house in Portugal 😈😉!
@MyPlayHouse
Жыл бұрын
Humm that would not be much of a house,,, Patreons mostly pay for smaller things,, but yes, I can then my other money on bigger things.
The personal cooler is not ideal lol. Maybe finer jets would give smaller droplets and make the mist move more with the wind.

This is a device for Cannabis growers. Ok, maybe tomato growers, too. I see no practical use other than for “Growing” stuff.

Water mist systems are used for cooling down,, I did not get this idea out of nothing :-) I was in LA. and visiting Universal Studio,, and they had the system everywhere.
