    My favorite thing about your videos is that as someone new to terrain building I feel that it’s attainable. Simple and helpful instructions and using common materials. Thanks and keep up the great work. Can wait to try building this!

    Thank you. Honestly I spend a lot of time trying to make sure that what I am doing is "attainable" exactly as you say. I want the most amount of people to feel like they could easily replicate somethign similar. I love that people notice that vibe :) Thanks again :) If you build it I'd love to see pics in our facebook group (no pressure!)

    This is a fantastic tutorial! I appreciate the step-by-step process, the detail of the process, the simplicity of the tools, and the ability to see each step of the project. Seeing this video makes me excited to see more complex, and involved terrain projects.

    For awhile I amprobably stickign with simple and repeatable. That's sort of my main pririty, is to get people thinking "I can do that" and then to do it! But yeah I will ramp it up and go a bit more detailed. Thank you very much for your nice words :)

    Wow, this is fantastic. I thought a larger terrain piece like this would be impossible for someone like myself, but the way you present and show it makes it look very doable. Foam board ordered, keep up the good work. Subbed, can’t wait to see what you develop next and see the channel grow.

    Thank you very much for your kind words. This is the kind of thing that really makes doing these videos worth it and it sums up the main reason for the channel. I think making terrain can seem super daunting and so I like to show nice looking stuff (hopefully) and simple stuff that people think "I can do that". If you make anything I'd love to see pics, we have a facebook group if you faniced it. Also going to try and make more vids over the summer, I'm a bit slow at it!

    Terrain Made Easy yeah it looks brilliant considering how simple you made it look (I appreciate there’s a bit more too it than what you probably show lol). Big fan of your concrete/ steel looking barricade too so am attempting to have a crack at that at the same time. Am extremely new to 40k (from a table top perspective), so I really appreciate you putting together well thought out stuff which is at least attemptable. I’ll defo check out the group when I’ve got something together :)

    Oh this is brilliant - Takes me back to when I first got into Warhammer and tabeltop, some 10-15 years ago. Being a kid, I remember things like Foam Board being some holy grail that I just couldn't get my hands on! Super detailed and super easy to follow the instructions, I'll absoloutely be giving this a shot soon. Can I just ask about the paints you use? I'm an absoloute novice when it comes to paint types - The black and brown you use, are they just cheap acrylic paints?

  • @TerrainMadeEasy

    @TerrainMadeEasy

    Hey, thanks. Foam board is pretty common now, crazy how things change. Yeh mostly cheap acrylics for paints, just like any cheap acrylic paints will do, like artists arcylics or maybe like house paints. Cheap is generally the best, you could in theory do this with a black, white, grey and brown for example.

    Constructive criticism: The column looks very fine and linear like they haven't been touch. I think cutting in marks in the foam to give a look of wear and tear would give it a nice look especially something you can do with foam. Making on the bottom of the floor piece would also give it a more rough look however you probably won't see it often. However a over good tutorial and seems pretty easy to follow.

    Hey! So fo this build I left the paper on, you can remove it but it will be a little floppier. The mod podge doesn't make it like a plastic, it is basically used as a protective layer so the foam won't be so easily damaged. The pro to taking the paper off would be you could add damage and stuff a bit eaiser :)

    In the UK the only foamboard I have ever been able to get the paper off is the black foamboard from the range, and it needed heat to do it! It's annoying.

    Some cheap one from home bargains. If you are struggling you could spray it from a distance and try not to melt the foam exposed bits (or cover with pva first)

    Any particular reason why you used white foam board instead of black? is there any real difference? I can get both at my local dollar store and have used the black foam board in the past for ruins and it worked quite well. Just curious - defs using this method for my next batch of buildings!

  • @TerrainMadeEasy

    @TerrainMadeEasy

    3 жыл бұрын

    No real reason. In the UK white foam board is generally cheaper and easier to get. Oddly for some black down board over here it is easier to take off the paper, so I sort of save my black stuff for when I need to peel the paper off.
