Love getting historical context- a straw wick. Good old ways, when folks used everything around them. Brilliant! Thanks! 👍👍

Patch over from outside with an OSB offcut to conceal the screw heads.

That would definitely make it harder to break in to. Some day I will be covering them with cladding so the screws should be hidden then

Decent job pal, I’d be changing the timber brackets for the timber bar lock on the rear of the doors they seem like a weak link if someone bars the doors open from the out side. Good fitting doors though!

OK, so more questions! Firstly, I'm no joiner, but I would have thought those doors would need more framing given the size of them! No? My main question relates to how you edit videos and how you put background music on them. You must record hours of video? Do you keep it all? What or how do you edit the videos? And is there some stock music you can use for background music - royalty free etc? Or is it just stuff you listen to?? (Hope not!)

I have a fair bit of experience with timber, the sheets would work without a frame screwed behind each door as the sheet itself wouldn't bend (might twist though but not against the frame). The actual door frame is made from some hefty timbers so they should be fine. I haven't noticed any movement in the framing so so far so good. I use dividci resolve to edit my videos as I used to have a camera by the same brand and have got used to it and epidemic sound for my music which is a KZread subscription service so you are allowed to use them in your videos. From there it's just an evenings work per video to cut it all together. If you have seen any of my older videos they weren't as concise as this one so I am working on removing the unnecessary bits so there is a lot of other footage that doesn't make it in.
