Todays episode of The Average Garage is a purchase i made a while ago as it came up cheap and i needed one, I was told it was working fine and the bloke was quite nice, I bought the product and got it home and it sat in the shed until now!
So lets pull it apart, assess the damage and get to fixing what we need.
IT IS..... An ARB compressor CKMA12. i turn this ARB compressor into a portable air supply similar to what you can but off the shelf for 1/4 of the price. See how!
I pull the compressor down, check its vitals, put it back together, remake a wiring harness and mount it all into a box neatly!

Actually just watch it again. You have to put the sleeve on from the bottom so as not to kink the rubber piston ring. Then reverse it the other way and slide the conrod down from the top into the housing. You the place a screw driver under the piston and get the piston to top dead centre. Then push the bush through the conrod with the retention clip fitted. Then put some lock tight on the allen key and screw down. With the piston still jammed with the screw driver you can tighten up the screw as tight as possible. No way did you tighten that screw enough and i would think you also stuffed the rubber piston ring by pushing the sleeve on backwards. After all that I've posted yours probably works fine😅

I'd say every 6 months to a year. Or if you're using it alot in dusty conditions then more often

How many PSI max? Looks a bit small for airing up 4 x 4WD tyres. Thanks for sharing. 👍

The pressure switch from factory is 100psi. These things are a high output compressor and actually pack a punch. :) check out the specs of the ckma12 on Google or ARB website :)
