Some seem disappointed about these results. Is what it is! Thanks again! 😺⚔️👍🏻

The number could look better for sure. The most important thing about a knife, I believe, is blade geometry ...and they got this one right. 😎🤘

Oh man 😮!!! For that money come on man! Even 50 Dollar Civivi can do it! I have a brand new 229 redention Droppoint. Pretty sad. Yeah anyway, thanks a lot for what you are doing guy's! Greetings from Europe 🙃

Nice to see that contoured @SatuDave show side frame! Though this may be a tad soft for M390, it's not end-of-the-world. Thanks for not judging my buying solution 😊. I look forward to applying my problem to an Apex Alchemy knife in the future. 😂 👊

No sir, no judgement for buying addictions at all bro. I got em too. Mine is turning into over priced machines and their consumables 🤣🤣🤣 I can't wait to get everything figured out, so I can make sone knives worthy of ownership. Still working out the kinks, but we'll get there. No knife is leaving this shop that doesn't meet my expectations, and I'm just not quite there. Testing heat treat methods with different steels has been fun and tedious.

I need one of these testers theyre just so expensive! thanks for takin one for the team! - sidenote, I know that some blade coatings can lower the hardness of the blade in these tests, I wonder if non coated versions score higher on the rockwell, just thinking out loud, good stuff right here brotha🙌

I'm absolutely positive that we need to add some points to cover the coating ...I just don't know how many

If m390 doesn't have 60hrc at an absolute MINIMUM then it goes from a premium steel straight to the low end of mid grade steel, in my opinion.... It's been shown that going softer with m390 does absolutely nothing as far as toughness goes.

This knife , fortunately...has everything else right. The blade geometry is stupid good so it just...cuts...forever

So softish m390 is still good steel? That seems to be a big takeaway from these tests?

This knife has been great to me. I mostly cut shrink wrap off pallets...obviously s90v isn't the steel for that job 🤣...but im sure it'd be even better a few points higher.

Absolutely not. If m390 isn't at a MINIMUM of 60hrc it goes from a premium steel straight to a high end budget / low end mid grade steel.

    @@TerminalM193 I'd considered 60 to be soft for m390
