Chasing Keith Richard's guitar tone! Digitech delay pedal repair - last vid of 2023!

Hey guys and gals. I've been trying to narrow down my options to recreate the nasty, honking guitar tone that Keith Richards got on the Stones' Sticky Fingers album. It's an uphill battle when you don't have anywhere near the same equipment (and your guitar playing sucks as bad as mine does), but I'm going to give it a shot anyway. This video will be my first attempt at getting closer to that tone, by repairing my old delay pedal and trying to get some slapback effect going. This should help emulate the recording room sound present on Can't You Hear Me Knocking - a track that really highlights the tone I'm going for.
So, do me a favor and drop me a comment - let me know what you think of the tone, which pedals I should try to help emulate that cranked Fender Twin amp sound, what you think I should do with this channel and/or starting additional channels, etc.
More than anything, I just want you to know how much I appreciate all of you guys. Have a safe and happy New Year holiday, and I'll see you in 2024. As always, thank you SO MUCH for watching! You all rock! 🤘

I liked how most of his iconic guitar parts came out of his plugging into a 4-track recorder and using it as a preamp and then straight into the board.

Those circuit board traces remind me of the VA Profile project roadmap 😆 (and now you know who I am 😉). Nice repair job my friend. I had the reverb version of that pedal many moons ago. And a Bad Monkey too, come to think of it.
