I remember when your Dad gave Violet to Eve, Eve was so touched. She's turned into such a beautiful Horse. So glad to have a way to follow you guys as well as Otto along on your respective KZread Channels!
I absolutely love watching you guys miss the show

I kind of prefer these videos (and Otto's) over ATLF.
I love Kilcher story telling. Getting the horses home may not be someones right way, but it's the homestead way. No horse was hurt in the making of this video....lol.

So fun going on the roundup with you 😉💗🐎💗
Hehe this episode was like an Detective episode of Clouseau❤😂😂
Enjoy seeing you guys again!
It's great how you show the natural day to day of horse care. I grew up with horses. As a shy, awkward teen, he was my best friend. Love your style of videos with straightforward, natural style.

What a way to start my day.. With a Kilcher video, Thank you for sharing your beautiful land and all with us..
“And know they’re probably not gonna go anywhere.” With horses, there is always a chance! 🤣🤣💛
I remember when I had a horse that was a lot of fun. Those were the best days of my life, get on my horse and go.
Love that you use twine. Very slick. We could make anything out of it. Add some grain sacks = blanket. Many trips as kids to return them from visiting the neighbors. Also, mother and daughter.
I love seeing a new episode from you guys!!! Lovely horses!!! And your lovely wife, Eve! Have a wonderful fantastic time until I get to see you again!!!
This was a great way to start my day. It's nice to see when animals know that they are cared for, and that they trust those who they know.
Oh the times I’ve had to go fetch horses from my neighbors lawn. 😂 I made new friends because my Sophia is an adventurer. 💛 They are never boring!
I like watching your you tube channel more then I did the TV show !! Your so much more down to earth and explain what your doing , please keep it up !! We love you all !!

Eivan, Loved the TV show , but love your & your Dad's youtube videos even better. LOVE your whlole family. Hope all are well. I hope to get to Alaska again before I can't any longer. I was there in 2015. LOVED every minute of our trip.;
Great video, guys. We have a few horses. They mainly keep the grass cut for us now 😂. They are getting up in age. When we were younger, we rode them a lot. But sad to say, they were replaced by 4 wheelers and side by sides. On our property, you can pretty much get to everything on an atv.

Really loved the tv series wish it could’ve kept going. But I can follow you guys here. Thank you
Thanks Eivin, I enjoyed your content on your channel. This video gave us a look at what really happens on the Homestead. The tv show was more staged. Keep the videos coming, I know that they're a lot of work but they will be worth it as your channel grows.

Great to see some vids after the alf.
What a great, wholesome video to watch! As others have commented, this is so much better than the scripted TV shows (which I loved, nonetheless). Your skill at driving and riding while holding a camera stick is awesome!

Thanks for sharing.
Great video. This format feels so much more personal because it doesn’t have all the fancy production and fake drama building like they like to do on Discovery. I loved the show, but I like this more.

I always enjoy watching your videos no matter what you’re doing. They are like an extension of Alaska The Last Frontier. I watch all of Otto’s videos too.
hey guys, there is an often overlooked aspect to video editing that is simple to make your videos far easier to watch by your audience that everyone ive mentioned it to has taken on board to make their vids better. in your video editing software there should be a sound level meter that as you play the different clips shows you the level of audio. you should keep that just below the red in each clip because some clips are so quiet we can barely hear you even with the device turned right up and others are so loud it deafens us. each clip you can raise or lower the volume to make them all equal and its really simple and takes no more time when editing. you obviously put a lot of effort into your vids already its a shame not to pay attention to the audio. love your work.

My horses would open any gate or stall. They couldn't open the carabeaners I installed.

that gate latch looks workable for a smart persistent horse. An extra catch on the lever might be a good idea.
@kilcher_homestead

It has another latch sometimes people just forget to close it
Horse's are very clever and sneeky and the race Horse's if they are being led from their stable and get loose all they want to do is run they will run over you if you didn't raise your hands up to slow them down
Cool show....
When I was a kid my pony took a bit when you would ride him but the other horses we used hackamores on them

Hello from ky 👋😁
I loved seeing you guys again, you have been missed. I went through every episode from start to finish on discovery while I was "patiently" waiting for the new season to air. Is there ever going to be another season of Alaska The Last Frontier? Only thing decent on television.

Ya I have seen that style too. I just so and tighten it.
If you don't shoe your horses, do you still have to trim their hooves every now and then, or does the ground contact just wear them away naturally?
@kilcher_homestead
5 күн бұрын
Yes I trim them about 4 times a year
Is there any way your horses nudged up the gate latch and let themselves out?

Why do you have to put a bit in the mouth
@kilcher_homestead
3 күн бұрын
This is how you steer the horse, they respond to the pressure in the mouth when you pull on the rains. It is actually a very subtle gesture this way
