I much prefer watching The Kilcher Family @OttoKilcher and @Kilcher_Homestead far more on this platform than when it was on Discovery. No senseless narration. No senseless drama. No senseless BS. Just the families doing their thing straight and direct.

The hell, I can do it. Holly cats, the guy has messed with chains before. Less music and more work. Some music that's kind of sneaky. I've sean the show. But, why did we like Alaska vids? Better follow up on this. That's a lot of material that is supposed to go somewhere. My neighbor has humunguss steel beams in his front yard. They were placed there by the previous owners, a couple of owners back. I'm intrigued. I could use a cover for the truck. I have a half acre lot.Bla bu bla.

Looking foreward to this series Otto. A couple years ago I was working on a site that the owners wanted me to get rid of a 9' X16' chicken coop/insulated shed. It was in a tight place, I had to lift it, turn it place timber skids under it and then load it up on tilt deck trailer and haul it 2 hours away to my buddy's daughters place. All without getting pulled over 😅

To each their own ☺️; but I personally enjoy you explaining what you need to do, how you're thinking about doing it and then accomplishing it, one way or another. I don't know sh*t from shinola about homestead work and its' associated equipment, but I do so enjoy hearing about it and your explanations. Even if I still may not really "get it" most of the time 😂. I also find the filming and editing to be well done and progresses the vid intention/point in a very entertaining way. So, I am personally glad you don't just set up a tripod and rock on. Your personalities are the major draw for me (even if we only see you from a distance, August 😂). People -Great, Content -Great. What's not to like?

Otto and family your videos are amazing the just get it done attitudes is what Alaska is all about. I love your stories and videos in my 52 years of living in Alaska I always remember Homer in the 1970’s and the live king Crab off the fisherman grocery store next to the salty dog saloon he had them in cages down in the harbor live .65 a lb live we would put them in trash can shell down and the would stay alive all the way Bach home on that was some good food.

Great channel Otto loved watching Alaska the last frontier growing up and glad you now have KZread to continue seeing the adventures 🙂

What @OttoKilcher is referring to when he says: *_"driving the trailer"_* is what's called 'off-tracking.' That's why semi trucks have to turn corners so wide, because the length of the trailer and the tires being so far to the rear they off-track causing the trailer to turn narrowly.

Taking down a tree in my backyard near neighbors fence. Needed a come along to put some tension on it to avoid hitting fence. With dread in heart I went to Harbor Freight. Happily the ones they have are from Taiwan not China. 100x's better quality. YIPPEE.

You didn’t show us how to move the cabin, you explain things that are very unique to your equipment your tractor your chains that don’t apply to the average person. Stop giving specifics and actually show us how you’re doing something, in other words set up a tripod stand back and show us the cabins moving.
