He was dominating that fight, the ref saw a fake tap or half hearted tap and called it. If it wasnt a tap then that's unfortunate, but Chase was winning that fight solidly. I don't feel bad about it.

fight probably should've been stopped multiple times as well. It's brutal to see such a likeable guy like Slava get mauled for 7 straight minutes.

I didn’t see the guy having any success against chase but I do think chase was robbed of a ko finish or putting the guy to sleep. But then again I’m not a ref and it did look like a slight tap and either way the outcome would be the same but maybe chase woulda got a bonus

If that was not a tap then it was an attempt to get Chase to let go so he could buy a few more seconds before he went out. We have seen fighters do this maneuver to get someone to let go. They got a special name for it. If you want to strike you punch or knuckle. But you dont open hand smack someone's back like a tap once unless you want to get them to loosen and the ref to think its a strike. But ref dont play.

  • @jayslice4371

That ref did both a late stoppage and an early stoppage in the same fight lol imo the ref should’ve stopped it when Chase was ground and pounding and then the ref did an early stoppage when the opponent did a Brazilian tap

Hey people in the comments I want to know what people from around the world think about this? I’ve been wanting to write a film script called “The Most Violent Man” it’s inspired by the fight that happened between Eddie Alvarez & Justin Gaethje. I’m drawn to everything about that fight, watching their interviews and who Eddie & Justin were at that time. That 2017-2019 era is my favorite Eddie, Tony, Dustin, Justin, Pettis and many more There’s so many MMA movies already it almost seems cliche to do a film in the modern world about MMA fighters. What about a film that’s in a made up world that’s a kill or die barbaric world of fighting. A very violent literal skin, guts, and blood film. No actual names, dates, or events will ever be named just pure inspiration made up world in a made up land, with made up people, the names won’t even be similar. Just about people who wanna find out who can take more punishment and walk out alive at the end.

  • @stepthroughtheireyes

As a screenwriter, I warn you against using actual names/dates/events or any IP owned by UFC otherwise those efforts will be in vain. Unless they order it, its not getting made, nor will your pitch be heard by anyone because it was not given the OK by UFC. Use that era as inspiration for your own characters and events. Trying to work around copywrite law sucks, but its part of the game. Best wishes and I hope you see your film made.
