Not only that, but knowing how Tiana wants to earn her restaurant on her own blood sweat and tears, eating at the places she worked was probably the best way the LaBouffs could actually help her achieve her dream without stepping on Tiana's toes. (After all, if the LaBouffs paid for everything, Tiana wouldn't have achieved her dream fair and square. The entire movie would have just been like 10 minutes tops!)

She’s literally disgusted by frogs but will kiss one for Tianna. She never looked for someone with money. She wanted her dream prince. She never hesitated to give that chance up for who she loved most, Tianna. Truly great friend.

Yeah, honestly she could have just told Tiana where the dress is in her room and that would have been fine as well, but she straight up told her prince that she had been waiting for her whole life that she will be right back and left to help her friend clean up, that's a true friend right there

I love how she doesn't treat tiana any different because she has less money then her, and instead treats her with kindness and like a friend, and even after getting her heart broken, she's still happy for tiana, what a legend

My headcannon is thats because tina treats Charlotte like a normal human, Charlotte is super rich so i imagine shes not got alot of real friends only friends that use her for her money But Tina doesn't do that, in fact tina NEVER asks Charlotte for money, the fact that tina could reasonably get her dream restaurant easily if lottie just gave her some money but she doesn't, she works for it, in fact the ONLY thing tina asks for is for lottie to kiss nazeem so they can be human, Lottie even entirely gives up on nazeem to make her best friend happy Its kinda beautiful lottie is a bit spoiled but she's actually a really good person and seems to vaule tina as a person and she values their friendship so much more than a relationship Honestly friendship goals people really sleep on how awesome lottie is to tina

When Lottie sees Tiana on the ground and covered in a mess of food, her face just Drops. I felt that. I felt that love and concern for her best friend.

Ironically, even though Charlotte technically isn't a princess and has the most stereotypical "mean girl" attributes (blonde, blue eyed, skinny, rich, favorite color is pink, wears makeup), she has more personality than a lot of Disney princesses I've seen. Not to mention her generosity, love, and undying support for Tiana, a struggling black woman in the 20's. She may be a bit naive, but she has a heart of gold, I love her 😭🙏

God, I love how she's rich, spoiled and wants a stereotypical Disney ending, but she's the sweetest girl on Earth! It's so easy to make a character like that antagonistic, but she's just so pure-hearted.

When I first watched the movie (which was long overdue) I thought that she was going to turn evil at the scene where they're frogs and she has to kiss the prince so they'll be human again. I thought she was going to be mad that Tiana ended up stealing her crush. But she was SO SWEET and I honestly fell in love with her character.

Literally! She’s the one spoiled character who actually isn’t snobby. I didn’t think a character could be written that way before watching the princess and the frog. I also love how Tiana could have definitely had her bestie fund her dream restaurant from the beginning but wanted to get it herself. And Charlotte must’ve known this because we see how supportive she is of Tiana’s work and dreams and had no problem just givin her money. Most likely she understood Tiana had to mainly make it happen herself or she wouldn’t be satisfied so Charlotte supported her but not TOO much. She had everything and could take anything she wanted but she didn’t even THINK of taking anything from Tiana. Not the restaurant, not the Prince, nothing

This is the first thing I always point out when people criticize the writing, saying it doesn't make sense that Lottie doesn't offer the money to Tiana on screen. There's absolutely no way Tiana would have just taken a handout and there's no way Lottie didn't offer a million times. Tiana clearly wanted to earn it from the ground up herself and would only accept it if she did work in return, just like we see with her catering the party.

i agree with basstt, Lottie had her hands full with the fake prince and probably didn't hear anything about the Fenners' discussion with Tiana, only that she must have heard a crash and Tia was on the floor covered in her beignets. she might have assumed that Tiana felt embarrassed by her fall and making a mess at the party (wait, did Tiana mention that she was going to sign the Fenners' papers for her restaurant? if so, maybe Lottie assumed that the Fenners must have seen her fall and needed some time to recover from making a bad impression)

The detail I love most is that Charlotte had a blue dress lying around that fit Tiana perfectly. All of Charlotte's dresses and outfits are pink. So she very likely had the blue dress made specifically for Tiana, just in case she ever needed it.

I can think that she was trying to do it discreetly. In the scene where she pays or tips tiana a large amount I can almost say with full certainty that she does it Everytime in hopes of helping tiana gain money in a shorter time span while also earning it in a way she prefers.

I love how shes spoiled, blonde, and rich but not the villain. She actually really cares about Tiana and even helped her get her restaurant. While she was in love with Naveen she found out that Tiana liked him and kissed him when he was a frog with no marriage required and instead of getting furious when they got married she was happy for them. Pro’s to her dad. Her dad is a very sweet hearted person, almost no narcissistic and selfish behaviour right there.

I love the bond that Tiana and Lottie have, this movie is one of my favs tbh just bc of its tone, it shows that women can work, the injustices of the world, determination and independence, the social criticism in the beginning of the movie is also something to be appreciated, animators did an amazing job

EXACTLY! Tiana disliked even the mere thought of *wishing upon a star* to reach her dreams, imagine how much she'd hate to just receive the restaurant from Charlotte without putting work on it? Plus, they've been friends since childhood, I would guess the subject has been brought up at some point and Tiana made clear she wouldn't accept the restaurant if Charlotte just gifted it to her

It's always been my personal theory that Mr. LaBouff was the buyer that outbid Tiana in the beginning, to reward her for being able to save up for the down payment so she could have that money for repairs and renovations. He probably didn't tell Lottie because she'd spill the tea way too early lol.

I love Lottie so much!! Yeah she is spoiled beyond reason but, she a heart as pure a diamond! If Disney doesn’t add her to the official Disney princess line up, I’m speechless.

The fact she’s from my state, and is such a nice friend, and a bit spoiled but not a brat, makes me love her even more

Big daddy is so cute and wholesome. Hes a good father even with giving lottie everything. Good parents want to do that and he has the means to while not being a douche. Plus hes very handsome 😌

Agreed, I believe he truly loved Tiana’s family and specially Tiana’s food. And whenever he has time he goes where Tiana’s working. And his favorite dish is Tiana’s beignets that he was eating at the cafe, then we see at the ending song that he is eating them again

I love how even though she’s spoiled she’s still the nicest friend to tiana. The fact that her dad is always wanting to make sure his daughter is happy you can tell that where she gets her kindness from. Also how she puts aside her dreams for her best friend

I absolutely love Charlotte as a character! She's the ultimate example of a true friend, I mean she was definitely spoiled and had a temper but she genuinely cared about Tiana and was willing to do whatever she could to help her, Including sacrifice her own happiness just make her best friends dream come true. If that isn't an act of true friendship then I don't know what is.

Her temper is part of what makes her such a girboss imo, cuz she don’t take no crap or else. I mean like LOOK AT 5:01, SHE BUST OPEN THAT HUGE DOOR, NOT TO MENTION IT WAS PROBABLY *_LOCKED_* AND SHE _STILL_ GOT IN BY THE POWER OF SHEER BRIDE RAGE

I FUCKING LOVE CHARLOTTE SO MUCH This was one of the first movies where Disney actually showed how, even though she's spoiled and has all the money she could ever want, she's not a bitch. Really goes to show you a bitch can be anyone, no matter how poor or how rich they are. I want me a bestie like her so damn bad, she's so supportive and nice to Tia throughout the whole movie, even giving up her one chance at "true love" she thought she had. If she's not in the Tiana series that's releasing in the next year or two, ima be so fucking pissed. She needs her a man like Tia got!

From what I read on the Disney Wikia: Originally, Charlotte was supposed to be an antagonist of the film as in the original script, Tiana would’ve been a maid working for her and she would’ve been a spoiled brat to her. This was later scrapped.

I love everything about her. She’s spoiled and dramatic, but she’s so kind. When she told the boy she wasn’t interested, I thought it was a little rude, but at the same time people in her position wouldn’t hesitate to reject them and point out their “flaws”. She told him she wasn’t interested (while giving him what she sees as advice), and encouraged him to find another lady and tries to boost his confidence a bit by saying she was sure there is a lovely lady for him. It’s a small thing but I appreciated it. And then after making a big deal about dancing with the prince, she stops it immediately to help tiana. She wanted to help her friend more than woo the prince at the time. Her dad raised her right, which is a big deal considering he was a single dad and he could have easily left her to be raised by nannies and neglecting her (in hindsight, I think the single dad thing is why he spoiled her so much. It would make sense why he gets her all those things because he wants to make his daughter happy and fill the void of where a mother would be. He’s trying to give her double love. It’s also depressing and sad to think about, but in a good way?) It was such a nice change to see that the best people were the ones who are usually used as villains or antagonists of some kind.

Charlotte was literally the bestest friend ever! Even tho she was ‘the rich girl’ she was so kindhearted and supportive of Tiana. She even gave up her lifelong dream of marrying a prince so that Tiana could have her happily ever after. She’s amazing! 😊❤

Lottie is the definition of a true friend, she never treated Tiana or other poor people badly, sure she is a bit spoiled but she is a kind girl, I wish there are more characters like her in movies. Cute, bubbly, relatable and funny 🫶🏼

I love Lottie! She isn’t portrait as the typical rich blonde spoiled brat, she is very likable and her time on screen is memorable. And her supportive dynamic with Tiana is soooo precious. This movie is one of my favorite Disney films to date!

It’s so beautiful how Tiana never beefed Charlotte in anyway. But was always happy seeing her excited and crazy about things that she (tiana) couldn’t have. They both are iconic. And it is quite rare to find such a pair💕

I love how like they made her rich and spoiled but they made her a supportive and kind hearted person.❤

My favorite part about her is that she's a genuinely good friend. She knows Tiana's opinions on "handouts and charity" so she does her best to support her in ways she knows won't make her feel weak or cross any boundaries. Like, even when she was trying to woo the prince, she stopped everything to help her friend and make her feel beautiful

She didn't want Naveen for his money. It was just her childhood dream to marry a prince. Fairy tale stuff and all.

Still love that she’s spoiled but not an absolute brat. Shes one of my favorite characters in princess and the frog.

I love how she lets Tiana work hard and give her the money when she's close so she can prove that she can work and support herself just giving her a push Lattie is queen

Now I wish that Charlotte gets a cute chubby prince who shy but charming and Lottie's like "YES! I WANT HIM!!!" QwQ Lottie's the best friend and she gives me joy with her presence!!!!

They so easily could have made Charotte the rich hoity toity snobby friend but no, she was ride or die for her and Tiana's entire friendship.

She’s like such an icon but can be like one of those characters who gets everything the want, but the thing is characters like that turn their back on their “bestie” while charlotte is just a supportive bff
