I really love the part where they just give her a smaller crown. It's not a redemption arc. But it's just a satisfied ending for her to stop making chaos after that.

Feels like this was her origin story like how Gru always wanted to go to the moon Scarlet always wanted to be a pageant queen and win a crown, but was repress by others. So her greatest plan is to steal the Crown Jewels and be a "Queen" in a more twisted sense. Shown by her Miss Universe feminist empowerment speech from her introduction. Making the crown given in the end, albeit delusional, a form of crowning by the minions as their "Queen" giving her satisfaction that others see her as such.

Honestly Scarlet was the best thing about this movie besides her husband and the evil family, especially since she was the first female villain in the franchise (don't count Miss Hattie or Shannon since they were just obstacles) love how they went all out on her to make her such a likable villain. In a male dominated field like villainy as portrayed in the Minions franchise, especially for the period the movie takes place this would make sense for her to be one of the founding mothers of women rising in villainy. And honestly she didn't need the crown to already be considered a queen. Would've made a better monarch than Queen Elizabeth any day. This movie should've just been about her if I'm being real especially due to the female villains they gave us after like Belle and the Nun. They will all forever remain iconic.
