Korobov style reminds me of rigondeaux, they are both very calculated and the calmness while in the pocket is ridiculous. They dont waste punches and everything they do has a purpose in there strategy. Really enjoy watching them.

The irony behind this fight is it was closer than the co main event. Charlo started pouring it on after round 5. Korobov started slowing down and round 12 could've been a 10-8 round....I think Charlo did a great job of catching up plus he utilized his jab a lot. Great fight though!

I guess I'm one of the only people who saw this fight different after watching it regular and once in slow motion and rewinding rounds I think Charlo edged this out in one of the best boxing matches I've seen as of late. From slipping, counters, inside punches, feints, timing, footwork and head movement by both. Charlo rounds: 1,5,6,7,9,11,12 Korobov rounds: 2,3,4,8,10 Round 9 could have been a swing round after seeing charlottes get cracked with those lefts I was scoring it for Korobov but after rewatching it he countered fairly well and stay patient the second half of the round and edged it out. Definitely feel as if Charlo could have went to the body more and cut off the ring better but Korobov gave him and hand full of lefts to think about.During the second half of the fight you could clearly tell Korobov was winded or trying to avoid what happened during the 12th round.

Korobov's left hand hitted Charlo face more effectively than Charlo's jab.

Jermall definitely has a good chin, i think he edged this one out barely. Korobov is no slouch either he could’ve taken this if he had more wind in him. Good fight, I think Danny Jacobs gives Mall problems, not sure about ggg as he looked like age has caught up to him in Canelo 2

To be fair Korobov is a beast, many don't know he beat Usyk twice in the ameteurs. Kind of like Sean Porter but Usyk still beat Pulev, Joyce, and Badou Jack so Usyk was still really good back then. Though obviously he is a bit past it here in age and condition.

This was a real good entertaining fight. Korobov would have gave a lot of fighters problems. The late round adjustments by Charlo was huge. Hope he learned a lot to keep getting better. His Jab game legit

Jermall Charlo Fought a great fight. In the earlier rounds he needed to jab immediately he steps into his range bc his opponent Korobov is a fast counter puncher. Korobov tried too. Kudos to the Champ. And Still The Champion, Jermall Charlo. Congratulations.

I thought the last round was a 10-8, and scored it overall 116-111. Korobov was game throughout and really good early on, but Charlo's jab continuously thudding into his right eye was what decided it.

Neither Charlo should have won that night. Tony Harrison boxed very well and Charlo barely landed a clean shot on him until the last 2 rounds.

neither charlo won that night LOL. mell got clowned on by harrison and tony deserved that belt even though he boxed like mayweather. mall didnt get beat up as much but both still lost.

I’m a huge Charlo, fan I had to rewatch this fight there was things I definitely did not see or failed to notice having a bias opinion. I have to say Korobov, won the fight after rewatching. I’ve seen things that I have not seen in my 17 teen years in boxing, Korobov is a genius...

Credit to you for seeing what actually happened. I saw Korobov clearly winning and boxing very well, he did however make clumsy mistakes from time to time but Charlo very rarely made him pay until the last round. In an ideal world they should rematch, but realistically they will move Charlo on hastily from Korobov to try and get a big money fight going. Since Korobov is a southpaw you would have to guess that he is going for Andrade's WBO belt since he is also a southpaw.

Hassan Syed Opinions are like ass holes everyone has one. Watch the fight again this time with out sound and stop worshiping Charlos every move and do you’re best not too be bias. Most of Charlos,punches were blocked or glancing he was getting nailed by Korobov left hand all night long. Every analyst also had Korobov, winning all the way up too the 7th!

Charlo isn't establishing himself, he should follow more his punches and move to his left side to come back with an upper right hand... Stay away from his left hand.

Watching these fights just show me how much better ufc commentators are, these commentators are so biased towards the favorite, instead of saying who you think is winning, comment on what’s actually going on in the ring I don’t care about your opinion, that’s not what you’re there for. Just tell me what’s going on in the ring, who’s hurt, why’s he doing this, and what does he need to do to beat the other guy and why isn’t he doing it. That’s all.

Nivek Mendez If you visibly hurt your opponent in a round you win the round as long as you don’t get hurt in the round..Korobov landed many straight lefts but he wasn’t hurting Charlo and Charlo visibly hurt him several times and he is the champion. The fight was an ugly win for Charlo and a pretty loss for Korobov. Also, remember Charlo was training for a totally different style(Willie Monroe) & Korobov replaced him last minute.

Rounds 1 - 6 I have Korobov pitching a SHUTOUT - barely getting to see the fight - in my book 1 or 2 more rounds and he has it Won - In this 12rnd fight I have Korobov winning 7 rnds so far the fight is now over in my book and Korobov won! Total 8 rounds to 4 rounds Korobov! No knockdown in the 12th it's a 1 pt round! KOROBOV WAS ROBBED!!!

@Jacob Glenman Use your eyes and the scoring 4 scoring criterias then you will see that it was a Charlo fight.

People forget that charlo’s entire fight camp leading up to this was based around Willie monroe jr, a fighter with an entirely different style that jermall worked to study and create counter measures for. Then there’s a literal last minute switch and he has to fight koborov who is an elite, slick and strong southpaw with a completely different set of weapons than monroe has. And Charlo still was able to adjust in the later rounds and bring the fight to him despite not having prepped for such high caliber of an opponent. I agree that charlo currently is ready for Canelo or Jacobs but he’s only getting better and I think this fight showed his ability to adapt in there and his toughness.

You dishonest racist white boys....korobov and Charlo were both training for other fighters on the same card. Both of them got 5 days notice of switch. They both were already in training to fight on that day. The Russian won 4 rounds at the most.

@@8PMFORMULA Korobov was only training for an 8 rounder, AND he had to drop an extra 4 pounds in those 5 days, as his previously scheduled fight was at a catchweight of 164, not 160. The weight loss thing is especially crazy. Imagine training 8+ weeks for a fight, every single part of your training regimen is based on making one specific target weight while still being in shape, then less than one week before the fight you find out you have lose an extra 4 pounds, basically you gotta just drain the fuck outta yourself, and you STILL perform this well. It's actually very impressive.

wow....almost got it Charlo...they are very young and fresh and inexperience in the boxing....they got a long way but they are learning something in every match, like the other brother who learned to lose in a prior match tonight, but how the old saying goes: You win some and you lose some...and you always learn.

Def a close fight but Charlo edged him out in the later rounds. Charlos jab was landing really well and Korobov's eye showed it. The right man won the fight.

booski brooks That’s how I saw the fight. Charlo’s jab got him the win. Korobov’s main weapon was the straight left/counter left. I’ve noticed Jermall has issues with southpaws. For example his fight against Austin Trout for the IBF world title. Trout’s counter straight left kept catching him too.

This was a very close fight that could've been scored for either fighter depending on stylistic biases and such. I disagree with the judges scorecard and Larry Hazzard unofficial scorecard, it was much closer than that. But regardless, you need to take race out of it. Don't look at the world in that way

Korobov is a very slick and smart dude

Korobov lost. The Russian is a great counter puncher but Charlo had that jab in his face most of the rounds and had the Russian going backwards all night. Great fight,it was kinda close but you need to do a lot more than going backwards with a few counters now and then to take the Champs belt.

Well Deryvachenko came off a war with GGG and lost to Jacobs. Deryvachenko oddly didnt go to the body against Charla. He was headhunting. Deryvachenko is a 1 dimensional fighter. Either way Charla is overrated
