The decision to perform most of his songs in different keys than they were composed in is really an inspired choice imo! Lets his voice rest and still shine through, even on songs he can flawlessly perform in the originally composed key! Also, just gives a different color to the whole emotional core of the song. Really lets the listener see the other side of the dichotomy that most of his music embodies.

You're gonna love Charlie singing Left & Right and Loser at The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. Left & Right was sang with a lower key (B Major instead of the original D Major) to match with Loser and it's possibly better than the original

I think it's hard for him being a person with perfect pitch, so he hears his own flaws very easy - if that makes sense.. But I agree with you, I find the raw format of his voice to be the best. He sounds great even when some of the vocals are a litle off 🙂

Mind the puddle on the floor coz that's me absolutely melted after hearing this performance. Just WOW. This man is incomparable 🌟

Charlie Puth is phenomenal and one of the best live performers of our time. I can hear his voice is struggling a little in places as his voice is strained. This indicates he is suffering with either exhaustion or hasn't been well..or both! Artists are human and pushed into gruelling schedules where they have no time to allow their body to recover. They're expected to push through like they're superhuman. This is what happens yet we all expect perfection every time. Sounds like he needs to be allowed to rest and recover. Whilst our bodies can keep up when we're 20 something, it gets harder to keep the same pace as we get older and under enormous pressure. Imagine trying to sing if you've only half recovered from a sore throat and times that by 10 when you're an international star and unable to just take time off...Charlie is multitalented and is just amazing!!
