I’m speechless. As soon as the music started I was overcome with this feeling of awe. Charlie is so damn talented. I’ve been a long time fan but he’s really found something special in his recent music, and he seems so happy with it making it all the better. I've been listening to "Smells Like Me" almost everyday because it's just so cool sounding. I'm Ava, sixteen, I decided last year that I wanted to not only write songs but to get into my own music production as well, because I believe 60% of a song belongs to somebody else if your not producing it yourself. the production is very important to me and honestly Charlie, your songs are so good because of the beat! The drum beat is the finishing touch to your songs. If the beat isn't right, it'll sound funny. You got it tho. Two years back I remembered when I finally chose to check out your Voicenotes album and damn I was hooked to every song! My favorite is BOY and Slow It Down (I hear some Michael McDonald in there lol). no but like I got all my friends into it, my whole family. these days music is constantly changing and people are becoming more and more impatient. they listen to a song for two seconds (like just the intro) and then they get bored and swipe to the next song. your songs are so so good, I never swipe to the next song. I have a studio in my bedroom and I'm using Abelton. I've written songs for what feels like forever. I planning to go to BlackBird Academy someday, and I am so excited! prolly the beat and the synths are what is making the song familiar to you... the beat and the guitar is like "Missing you" by John Waite... this song screams early 2000's songs that's why it feels so nostalgic and familiar.. if u listen to it without charlie's vocals and just the instrumental it's like a modern version of "Missing youz"
