Agreed. Personally, I never got to the stage of evaluating witnesses, the prosecution’s “performance, the defense’s “performance, how Charlie did on the witness stand…etc. The theory put forth by the defense was so kooky, and the way it was just sprung on everybody…none of the other things mattered.

I totally agree she is very professional and fair. She was very focused and presented a strong case with all relevant the facts in court for conviction. Getting Katie to flip was a key factor and helped, though she was a liar, her testimony was corroborated by the other evidence. The jury heard all the evidence and it was a horrible murder. He probably deserves the death penalty, but will get to live out the rest of his life after taking Dan’s. Hopefully, this mandatory life sentence provides the justice and satisfaction necessary relief for the Markel family. They have suffered and continue to suffer. I feel their grandchildren should be transferred back to them and get the Markel name back! This murder by the Adelson family with the purpose to steal is awful. Wendi and Donna must be punished as well. Wendi must not keep the boys. I think that Wendi started the plan to murder Dan. Charlie should now be flipped next to prosecute Wendi and Donna. Not sure about Harvey.

I am greek from Cyprus but have lived in the US for 16 years. I am very proud of the American judicial system and these 12 jurors that have decided on this case make me think that there is hope in this world! Amazing prosecutor, smart, confident but down to earth and a judge that was 100% in control of his court room. Big mistake for Charlie not to take a plea bargain and risk to go to this trial with this ridiculous scenario! His lawyer seemed like the same kind as the Adelsons, cocky and over confident. Shouldn’t have taken this case without a plea if he was as smart as the prosecutor.

I agree. People may criticize it, but America still has the best judicial system in the world. Acting in accordance with the letter of the law is only a part of it -- you still have to convince a jury of ordinary citizens, that your position is the correct one. Judgment by a jury of your peers is a critically important part of our system.

Now it’s time for Donna! I think she was the ultimate mastermind. I think Wendi also knew about it but there isn’t enough evidence for her. Plenty of evidence to prosecute Donna from what I’ve seen.

I think they have just enough to go after Donna but not enough for Wendi. However the outcome of Donna’s trial would provide some insight to whether they have a shot at Wendi, I just worry bc there is no money or communication link directly between Donna and Katie or the hit men. I missed it but is there proof of a lump sum from the mom to Charlie? Bc she said they would each pay 330,000 to pay Danny off so I’m wondering if Donna transferred any money to Charlie. Although they didn’t have to give the hit men near what they were gonna pay Danny to give up control of the kids relocation. I guess it was a small enough amount for Charlie to keep wiring to Katie but did the mom provide any to Charlie? Prob not enough to look that sus. But come on … Charlie didn’t do this on his own without Wendy’s ok.

To me, if Donna is eventually charged and convicted, i'd consider the situation punishment enough for Wendi. She will be left alone with the burden of raising Dan's boys. I heard her complaining to June, how hard she was finding the task of raising the boys, so with her free nanny (Donna) taken away, it will be all the more hard, coupled with the shame of being an Adelson and not having a husband to support her. After a while, i bet she will wish she had left the boys names as they were and not changed to Adelson. The Markel name, now carries a lot more goodwill while the Adelsons are wishing the ground could swallow them and cover their shame
