Charley Crockett: I learned to stand behind my guitar

Музыка

Sitting shotgun, cruising down the highway, Charley Crockett fittingly reflects on life on the road. Here, he talks about his prized possession 1971 Yamaha guitar that he received when he was a traveling hobo musician. Charley also looks back at his life-saving 2019 open heart surgery to correct Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome and the blessings of this otherwise difficult 2020. We also hear about some of his childhood heroes in this candid (and at times shaky) interview from the interstate.
* The Postcard Interview is a short conversation series by Jarrett Bellini. The concept is simple: We take a bunch of postcards with questions on the back, pick them at random, and then talk.

He also seems to talk about true freedom (at least to me ). we talk about freedom all the time here in the USA but man people like hobos experience it truly, no phones, no direction, no problems, or responsibility just to take care of yourself. I can't wait to see him in person one day.

Love this guy! So refreshing to have genuine music from a genuine person in the age of vapid pop performers. As I listened to the interview, I found that so many of his musical influences are artists I have enjoyed also.

Charley Crockett is the man. A fore runner in modern country and western no doubt.
