Seeing him live was amazing. He and his music really speak to people. The pain, the hope…the authenticity is palpable. The audience was more present at his show than any I’ve ever experienced, but not only that, they were present with each other. He welcomes it all, struggle and joy to be felt, together, side by side. Feeling seen. Unity was what it felt like. (Which right now in America is rarer than gold and even more precious.) On the bucket list to see this guy. He is a true music hero for these days.

Charley is the real deal and inadvertently wrote an anthem for 2020 in Welcome to Hard Times.

Charley is one of the few artists that deserves the spotlight as much as he does. He’s born for it! And has one of the coolest, wildest stories I’ve ever heard. Easily the most entertaining show a person could go to these days!!

I love Crockett's sound! He's brought back that old southern twang with a modern twist is astounding.

He's such a stud! I heard one of his songs on Joe Pickett tv show.

Charlie is blessed from the Lord with amazing musical talent and an incredible will to survive. In this video we only see a small glimpse of the hardship and suffering with his family pain in which he is dealing with emotionally; and how hard he had to persevere to climb the ladder in his professional career without settling for what he was not yet comfortable His strength and courage to move forward overcoming such hardship is amazing! My 35 year old son sent me a sample of Charley Crockett music to listen to via “Spotify” when I could not pull it up I went to my you tube music and searched His random songs immediately enjoying his music very much! He has an amazing voice! And if he writes his own songs which I think he does, again you see his talent is remarkable! God has truly blessed this man and I will be praying for Charley Crockett 😁🙏🏻❤️

He got a lot of material for lyrics. This IS a songwriter. He's amazing and the most compelling performer because of that street drive and hard times. I wish that he would perform closer to NYC. Edit: He's in Central Park opening for Willie this Sep!

@Johnny johnny honestly i like every song, cover he does. the Hank sn. lost away unique but not my favorite. trinity river, odessa, mighty lonesome man. i get into an artist i like to know their roots not just music. music comes from many things, living, environment, creative juices. i tried little music but ts horror rap it has its own world like adult swim, horror novels. my insanity creates everything good or bad

I truly enjoyed this piece and Charley's music! Do have to add that I'm a bit pained and confused: Does Anthony Mason's work as "Senior Culture Correspondent" mean he's the network's top dog for that sort of reporting? Or is he supposed to find stories with appeal to those age 60 and older....? 🤔
