Around 10:40. I don't know about Construct, but in many languages there is a data structure called a dictionary. It would allow you to map integers (like the ID of the accessories in their categories) to their names (Like Boba Fett Helmet). If C3 has something like this, you could just ask your dictionary "What's the name for head accessory number 57?" and you'd get back something like "Boba Fett Helmet". This would let you add names fairly easily, and should be relatively easy to update. Edit: English is hard.

Something worth way more than those cheap, lame and not even good art nft. This is more fun, cute art style and FREE to play around. I just love customization even if it not an actual game, bless your soul Mr. Vim🙏

Man you should try out the RPG in a box engine :) i watched your video about how you become a game dev and was pretty inspired, i had the same issue with coding and stuff so it was a toss up between RPGmaker and RPG in a box. Its super easy to learn as its more of a visual style of code, but i think doing a review on it would be amazing! pretty sure if you contacted James (the creator) he would give you a key as he really needs exposure.

whats weird to me is that the "reset" buttons have the image of a refresh button. either the right icon or an X icon would be better imo

Great! By using generalization, you have achieved a certain degree of automation that let you much more easily implement what you wanted.

I know, a suggestion. I can hear the groan. But maybe my monkey brain can help here. Is there a way to, with the arrays (a guess here) to swap between sprite sheets to have them also labeled like in a separate array, having them both informally linked and then cycling through? Then, you could add the specific sprite name to the slider. Ex: Color - Black (this shows the Black monkey sprite) Either way, really impressive stuff.

That sprite sheet thing is genius. Find a way to properly cut the area outside, instead of hiding it under the UI, and you've basically found a way to use sprite sheets in construct (which I assume doesn't have better tools for it?)

If you are just overlaying specific sprite sheets, which theoretically are already labeled clearly, could you just 'print' the name of the sprite sheet asset onto the area buttons? Ie you are already having to call "blue turtle shell" sprite sheet, could you not just update the name of the button (like body -> body: blue turtle shell)? Obviously depends on way to much I have no idea about. Just some spaghetti on the wall.

If I understood correctly, there's one sprite sheet for each category. So there's for example the "head accessory" sprite sheet with all the accessories, not one sprite sheet per head accessory
