One of my favorite memories of my childhood was my parents beautiful greenhouse. When we couldn’t find mom and dad outside in their extensive gardens, we would find them in the greenhouse, tending to their plants, making new plants from cuttings, chatting with each other, laughing and doing the hobby they both loved to do together. Today would have been their 72 wedding anniversary. They both passed away a couple of years ago within one month of each other. Thank you for sharing this video on their special day. I’d like to think they’re tending to beautiful gardens in heaven. xx

Marc is truly a renaissance man. (Don't tell him though it will just go to his head.)
Dangerchicken is still adventuring! 😂
I am so enjoying watching this couple tackle so many huge projects needed to start bringing the Chateau de Rosieres back to its former working productivity and glory. The "hot" greenhouse is going to really be something. To see them both working full speed, hands-on, AND having two very small children, what a wonderful young family with big dreams...

You’re very kind, thank you!
Oh wow the one with the stairs is an orangerie really not a simpe glasshouse. Must have been so pretty in those days, that will be a true gem once restored.
It's a true video when you have Marc, his digger and the chicken.

It’s a true day when Marc has his digger and chicken!
Great video, Marc! It's really fascinating seeing how your vision will transform your beautiful grounds. Thanks for letting us all be part of the journey! I'm sure the greenhouse will be wonderful when completed!
I am fascinated by your land management plans. My friend "rescued" a couple of professional growers greenhouses last year. We found a guy who was getting rid of his pavered driveways (!!!) and we dug up and took the bricks to put inside the greenhouses. Not quite as beautiful a project as yours, but quite the task for a couple of ladies of a "certain age." Plus, we saved the beautiful pavers and the greenhouses from the landfill. Seriously, who would trash them???

@@LostGardensofChateauRosieres I think we totally are kindred spirits! I also had a small market garden back in the day, and intensively plant my yard/garden. My garden in England was all "old" and rare varieties of plants. Your Chateau and garden are my dream! LOL
Mark does love his digger 😊 I love the way the French build those green houses.❤
Marc and his Volvo digger really were waltzing, weren't they! This was another fascinating vlog, and I can't wait to see what comes next! Thank you !

I am waiting for the Heavy Machinery Tango!
Tomorrow would have been my parents 75th wedding anniversary. Sadly, my Mom passed a year ago. My Dad, 93, is missing her dreadfully, and wants to be where she is. They raised us 9 kids on a farm, and if we didnt grow it, or raise it, we didnt eat. Tho we didnt have greenhouses, we spent many hours in the gardens and orchards. I am thankful for being raised the way I was, and have a farm now (tho still no greenhouse), with huge gardens, orchards, and berry patches, as well as many flower gardens. I'm enjoying following you on this growing and building adventure! Thank you for sharing your lives!! 🥰 This Episode brought to you by Chicken, Daring Chicken 007!! 😂 I love seeing Pepper in the vlogs!!! They say that dogs who have 'two sets of eyes' (the light markings above her eyes), are highly intelligent. Having had a dog like that, I'm inclined to believe it's true!!

Hi Susan I'm sorry I missed your comment. It was lovely to hear about your early life and I'm sorry to hear about your mother passing. Marc's father passed last year and it's still hard for us all.
Marc, you are amazing. Your vision for the chateau estate is matched by your willingness to work for what you want. Thank you so much for taking us along. The greenhouses will be magnificent and functional.
It’s a wonder that the brown chicken is still around it seems to love being in the path of the digger xx

That chicken has really got a thing for Marc! ;)
The more greenhouses the better! A working greenhouse so useful and a beautiful one to sit in and enjoy how lovely it will be. Can’t wait to see the progress!
So kind of Pepper to make a cameo appearance after their big film exploits. 😁 I can’t wait (but of course must) to see this come together. And am I ever jealous of your soil, which looks lush compared to my solid clay. ♥️
As a professional grower, I’m sooo excited to see this come to life. Also excited to see what Marc grows in them.
This will be such a nice addition to the gardens and give them more functionality. Love watching your progress!
I love green houses. So exciting to see Marc moving forward on this project! ❤

What an exciting project! Looking forward to watching how it all comes together.
We so enjoy seeing your vision for the land and are excited to see it become a reality. Those chickens follow you around like they are dogs. 😂
The two greenhouse projects are exciting. Will you need to have the glass custom made for the steel framed greenhouse? I look forward to seeing the progress. Cheers-
It is amazing the challenges the two of you are willing to take on, and the skills you have to make it happen!
A working greenhouse and an ornamental one 😀
I would imagine that your quite excited Marc to get started. Should be very interesting to see what you get plant wise.

Sacré projet ! Et avec votre accent, je comprends tout ce que vous dites ! Bon courage, je vais suivre la restauration de cette magnifique serre avec un grand intérêt.
The music playing while Marc is welding sounds like Appalachian music which I suppose isn’t that surprising. There are a lot of French settlers in the bayou and Appalachia and here in Nova Scotia as well . Nice to see Marc’s chicken helper is on the job again. 😂🤣🙋🏼♀️
