While watching the race, Reddick clearly won. While watching this replay, many other cars crossed the finish line, then the caution came out. Those cars keep their finishing position. The rest of the field is frozen at the last timing line provided that they continued and crossed the finish line. It took nearly 1/2 hour after the race to get them in the right order. Even if they change the stages to try and get rid of it, somehow it will still come up organically. That just seems to be the way those things go. I actually have no idea why they were even saving because they couldn't make it anyways. Same thing happened at Daytona. They would do something similar during the race too. It's nothing new. If you recall, they used to all get in line and ride around the top for 3/4 of the race. One way or the other, they'll ride around in a line or 3/4 throttle (which they do back in the pack anways) for some long stretch of time.
