    While watching the race, Reddick clearly won. While watching this replay, many other cars crossed the finish line, then the caution came out. Those cars keep their finishing position. The rest of the field is frozen at the last timing line provided that they continued and crossed the finish line. It took nearly 1/2 hour after the race to get them in the right order. The caution light (bottom of the screen, left side) comes on at 34 seconds into the video.

    Gregson bumps Kaselowski into Mcdowell. Kaselowski mentions having been bumped. Maybe Gregson couldn't help it. But without that bump, maybe Mcdowell keeps control for the win. And Ford goes 1. 2.3.

    If you do it yourself and wreck yourself out, isn’t that enough of a penalty? Newman did the same thing McDowell did, it was their own faults, so why penalize them after the fact for it? If McDowell wrecks the field and not himself I’d agree, but that’s kinda a self policing result

    High downforce, 510 h.p. Superspeedway package....pretty boring to watch. Take away the downforce, give 'em back the 900 h.p. they used to have, and give them back the forgiving side force overhangs so they can hang it out. Gen 7 has no overhangs for side force...combine that with the light switch loss of downforce when the underbody aero goes into yaw, and you have a lot of wrecks

    NASCAR seriously needs to fix the Superspeedway fuel dilemma. I'm a diehard NASCAR fan back to the early 2000s... and I want to go see Daytona or Talladega... but if NASCAR thinks I'm paying thousands of dollars when it's all said and done to go watch the drivers roll around at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle all day they have another thing coming.

  • @nomadman5288

    @nomadman5288

    11 күн бұрын

    Even if they change the stages to try and get rid of it, somehow it will still come up organically. That just seems to be the way those things go. I actually have no idea why they were even saving because they couldn't make it anyways. Same thing happened at Daytona. They would do something similar during the race too. It's nothing new. If you recall, they used to all get in line and ride around the top for 3/4 of the race. One way or the other, they'll ride around in a line or 3/4 throttle (which they do back in the pack anways) for some long stretch of time.
