Hi Joe, there's no doubt at all, your channel took a nose dive when you stopped photography stuff, with 25K subs you have the potential to grow. When it went to gaming, wow that was a mistake. I think everyone initially subbed for the photo side of it, it was fantastic, great source of info for many, and when it started changing and less frequent content people just left at the wayside. I can see that "Tubebuddy" is telling me that the photo side of the channel is the predominant interest of your subs here. I don't mean this in any way shape or form to be derogatory, But if you want this to grow, it's consistency, by that I mean uploading regularly of course , but sticking with the subject of what you're good at "photo" stuff.. reviews, tips/tricks, editing, software, Luminar, ON1, Lightroom..etc bit of audio hear n there maybe. This channel would have grown loads by now if you'd have stuck to the photo side. I hope it grows more mate, and bless ya Joe good luck.

Photography stuff has really dropped. People for the most part dont want tutorials. They just want iPhones with fancy marketing and product reviews. TB will show photo as a big part of my channels views still. Mostly because I have about 600 videos on photography. But new videos on photo stuff have not been doing very well at all. I am still doing photography. But it will mostly be on product photography tutorials geared towards content creators.

@@JoeJacksonJr well looking at all the new stuff coming out lately Joe I think its booming, loads of new cameras, lenses, speculations etc. You must remember it's why people subbed to you in the first place. I mean it's your channel man, and entirely your choice, but I bet if you put it to the vote, it's the photography community that love this channel more so than the other stuff you post.

@@JoeJacksonJr I think it's quite a dilemma, on one hand widening your subject diversity can attract new viewers but can also alienate existing ones. I'm one who is here predominantly for the photography but I can also see the benefit of including reviews and news on tech/computers because the two are somewhat linked. The biggest hurdle for you is the majority of photography channels get their biggest views from gear reviews. Without a means to access new gear it's next to impossible to do this, it's not like you have a B&H store in the Philippines who can let you borrow stuff. Certainly it's not possible to purchase gear for the sake of reviews, you'd be bankrupt in a month lol. That said I think there is plenty of milage with photography tutorials, be it camera technique or post editing. Sure, they won't bring in the same level of views as " gear reviews " but tutorial videos remain relevant for much longer.😉

@@dunnymonster You actually nailed it Dunny.. The videos with the most views are reviews. There isnt any stores here that will let you rent or lend you/me/anyone products for review. So yea if I had that kind of access to hardware, my channel would grow greatly. Gear Reviews = Views in the tech world and even more so in the camera community.. Matter of fact is even worse IMHO. @John Now my channel, while I have put up a few gaming videos for fun. Those have mostly been around the holidays. But I am not a gaming channel, I am not trying to be a gaming channel. I am simply expanding my audiance to include content creators. Which are not always gamers. Content creators would also be for example Tony and Chelse.. They create content around photography. I will still be making photography videos, yes but I am going to focus more on product photography and when the whole pandemic nightmare is over. I still have plans to do some really create photoshoots outdoors with Rosemae or Angelie. But to be honestly, all those tutorials I created on lighting over the past few years. Have got very little views. Barely enough to make back the money I paid the girls for modeling.. Now I dont do this for the money, all the money I made and make goes back into the channel, the hardware and software to improve it and when there is some left over I use that to buy a few products to review. But I can not constantly go into debt, buying gear that I will rarely use just for the sake of getting more views. The return on investment is extremely low. That said. I wanted to do more video editing videos and more product reviews on stuff that people new to KZread would be interested in. But even the microphones I have been reviewing, with Samson being the exception I have been purchasing to use. Once I get those in a few months. I dont plan to do many reviews on new mics unless they are sent to me.
