Benny's CI Rocket Wide is a stock standard 6’2 x 21 x 2 7/8 at 40.7 L’s.
This super easy to like relative of the CI Rocket 9 is a blast to ride from waist high to overhead.
The wider tail block and more forgiving outline doesn't hold you back when the waves get a bit bigger and better. Yet, this is a super nimble little performer when the waves are small and weak.
I hope you enjoy the Channel Islands Rocket WIDE Surfboard Review for Compare Surfboards.
Have you ridden a Rocket Wide? Tell us what you think in the comments...
All the best,
Benny

Hey Benny love the vids, please help me out! Looking for the easiest board to get air in small waves. Do you remember the Hayden merlot? Would you say that’s the best board you’ve tried for that in mind? Thanks!

Hey Kaleb, I can't speak from experience as I don't (can't) do airs...but the Haydenshapes Merlot does seem to be a favourite for punters. The CI Neckbeard, too...and now there is a Neckbeard 2!

Good review, I would have liked to see different construction options like the spine Tex and different fin boxes like fcs 2 and maybe talk about the quads or even five fin options and what it felt like under your feet

1 to 3 ft US, specifically Cowell's or San Onofre,San Clemente. So Flat/Mushy and 1-3FT usually. It's a bit hard working with mushy waves on my PE White Noiz.

Hey Benny, I just sold my V3 rocket 6ft 34.5 ltr. I loved the board but I need a little more volume and paddle- I'm looking at the Rocket Wide, Psycho Nitro and the Psycho Killer- I surf mostly beach breaks near Sydney from waist to head high and want a board that performs well in all of these. I am 85Kgs and want to stay around that 6ft length with about 36-37 ltrs- what would you recommend?

  • @terenceingram7786

Geoff I rode my V3 Rocket for many years. I replaced with bro dims with Psycho Killer and it paddles awesome but the board is weird. Skatey at times and going up in volume has affected it's performance. I suspect I shouldn't have gone up in volume. Held the Rocket Wide yesterday in a shop and it looks the business.
