Fu*k, I love this little board. This is the Takeda Chopper Surfboard Review for Compare Surfboards...and this is my favourite tiny wave board ever.
Please don't buy it: bennysboardroom.com.au/collec...
The Takeda Customs Chopper is perfect for boosting small wave riding fun. With retro influences, this hybrid high performance small wave shape is a must have in any well rounded quiver.
My Takeda Chopper is 5’8 x 21 7/8 x 2 15/16 at 45.86 L’s.
INCREDIBLE surfboard art work by the wonderful Yosh of Takeda Customs is inspired by a rusted out, old school Chrysler 300!
The Takeda Chopper is well suited for waves from knee high to should high, ranging from average beachies to cleaner days at your favourite long running point break. However, I found it really excels in the tiniest, weakest of conditions where it turns the most modest ocean bump into a super fun race course.
The Takeda Chopper features a super fat, flat outline, wide point forward, flat deck, round double square tail. The super flat entry and exit rocker combined with deep single to double concave to vee bottom contours make this a winner in small, gutless waves.
I LOVE THIS BOARD. It's been stuck in the back of my car for 12 months because it turns every small wave session to gold.
I hope this Takeda Chopper Surfboard Review for Compare Surfboards does it justice!
Thank you YOSH!
All the best,
Benny

does this kind of quad fins kind of emulate the performance of a keel twin fin?

Sort of , its good for wide boards , it more pivoty than keels.

Hey Daniel, @youdig nails it but the Futures Fins Controller style surfboard fins are meant to give you the best of a quad fin setup and twin keel design. With the upright positioning of the quad rears, there is a skatey feel to the set, similar to a twin keel, but with more control.

I’m a little heavier 5’11” at 205. Do you think it would have same ride at the volume you got it in?

Hey Christian, I'm a lot heavier than you...110kgs or 242lbs! If anything, I would advise you to go a tad smaller vs. my dims :)
