I think it’s more than that because there are a bunch of copycat channels on YT rn doing that and they aren’t nearly as good as Channel 5. I see Andrew as a true journalist and one who isn’t motivated by corporate interests like a lot of reporters have to be. He covers areas of the culture that nobody else will.

The part where Andrew was talking about how going to college and learning how to do stuff that had nothing to do with his aspirations hit, being an artist and going to college and learning stuff that has nothing to do with my aspirations just makes me feel like I’m spending my time on getting a degree and not a career

People have legitimate reasons to criticize going to college, but I think some people overlook the fact that the college experience offers more than just a degree. It’s a great opportunity to meet all sorts of different people with different backgrounds, perspectives, beliefs, etc., open your mind to a variety of different experiences and skills, and it all happens in a unique setting where most people are getting their first taste of independence and adulthood away from their parents and home. If you look at it this way, you might realize you’re getting more out of your degree than you might think. I probably could be doing what I’m doing now without a degree, but I absolutely don’t ever regret getting it.

@@JesusDiaz-pb8wp What you are talking about is something I expected when I went to college, but in the age of cell phones and such I didn't have that experience. It's not that I didn't talk to people, but it really just ends up being small talk since everybody seems to have something going on. 10 years later, I don't even remember anybody I went to college with. All my good friends were made while chasing my passions for life.

It’s like he’s a therapist, continually asking “why” so that people actually verbalize and sort through their thoughts. And once it’s all out in the open, they’re forced to reflect on their reasoning. So often, you realize how silly or strange the things you think actually are once you’re saying them out loud. It’s a fantastic approach.

10:00 what makes Channel 5's coverage real is that he shows stuff how it is. People sit to talk to Andrew and if they come up like they do is because they are. It's never twisted, never edited, never... Tricked. You want to see how these guys are? Watch his video. He never laughs at them or tries to take the upper hand or outsmart them or be the star of his show, he's just like "what do you think about this thing?" and that's that.
