Earl Sweatshirt Tells You What Real Hip Hop Is | Ext. Interview | DESUS & MERO
Комедия
Earl Sweatshirt pulls up to DESUS & MERO to discuss his COVID threepeat, still enjoying rapping, his new album "Sick," the "Free Earl" movement and getting sent to boarding school right before Kanye West tweeted out the "Yonkers" video, the infamous "Loiter Squad" Joe Budden impression on adult swim, working with The Alchemist, "Full Clip" by Gang Starr, and how David Guetta solved racism.

DESUS & MERO, the Bronx’s very own, reconnected online in the early days of Twitter, where they unleashed their potent personalities and found themselves kindred spirits. That led to stints on Complex and MTV, the Bodega Boys podcast, and a daily late-night show on Viceland, developing a feverish following. The quick-witted duo brings a distinct voice to late night, delivering smart and comedic commentary on any and all topics, that keeps audiences buzzing. DESUS & MERO continue to host their Bodega Boys podcast.

Earl, Vince, and Tyler are three artists that I’m really happy for. Yeah I don’t “know” them but to see how they’ve evolved as artists/people is pretty cool to see. I started fw them when I was in like 8th grade and I’m 24 now and here they are each putting out their best work while most of their old shit still holds up.

It’s crazy to watch them evolve. I remember being stoked I was Mac Miller and Tyler’s age, and it’s been a wild ride.
If Earl Sweatshirt, the same dude who made an album titled "I Don't Like Sh*t I Don't Go Outside", and promised you he hasn't been outside in a minute cause he's been living what he wrote, can pop up on a Desus & Mero show, complaining about how folks had to stay indoors for three years due to COVID... ...there's hope for you and I.

I was in 9th grade when all that went down, it was the cringiest shit ive ever seen. There was a few lil tags or marks on desks saying free Earl. Which im sure it was all done by atleast 1 wierd kid. Odd Future was fun and exciting for me in a music sense since it was right on time for high school, but god damn id feel resentment if a bunch of kids were being fucking wierd about me
they could really do full length interviews like 30-45 minutes i think everyone would watch that

interviews with earl always the best 🙏🏾 plus that bit about corona upgrading was hilarious😂
Earl is the kind of success story that encourages me as a underground artist with a small following. Seeing how he’s developed his skills and slowly blown up after seizing each and every opportunity he’s been giving has been inspirational! Mans has quickly become a mainstay in the industry and for good reason. Dude is too nice! I know if I put in the work, I can reach a larger audience some day too, but for now, I’m happy being a supporter. My turn will come too. Salute to Earl🔥
