I wanted to thank you so very much for the video you posted . I had just replaced my old defective radiator cooling fan on a 2006 Chrysler Town & Country and the fans were not kicking on . I watched your video to see how to test the relay and change it and Bam you mentioned about and showed how & where to check the Fuse for the radiator fan . I checked it and it was blown . The fans did still need to be changed because one of the blades had broken off but thanks to your tip I did not needlessly change the relay . You save me some labor and money . Thanks to this video I save some money on repair , I was lucky and I only have to change the fuse :) I was about to change the relay going to all that trouble and I did not even thought about the fuse if was not for this video . Always check the fuses first , now I know

Thanks for the tutorial. I will be replacing the cooling fan relay on my 2001 Caravan which had quit working due to deterioration from old age but my relay is also not getting the constant 12V volts at the fan relay connector terminal/blade/pin. I am getting 12V at the 40A fuse so I am suspecting that there is a corroded or oxidized connection somewhere between the fuse & the fan relay connector. I ordered a Gates FCM101 cooling fan module relay from Rockauto (no affiliation) for $24.79. It was the lowest price that I could find on a reliable name brand. I just got done replacing the CV half-axle on the passenger side so this fan relay job will be easy compared to that!

Helped me find the relay, my wife hit another car lightly, and it snapped the relay off. the relay came loose from the wireing harness. I reattached it, wrapped it in electrical tape, and bingo, fans are cooling again. thanks for your effort.

Thanks Eric, glad it helped. I actually had to change it twice, once was due to a bumper tap and the 2nd time the rivet holding it broke off.

my caravan doesnt have a check engine light but the fans arent going on for the past few days

I think I have a couple problems. The fan fuse was blown. I replaced it but it didn't turn on the fans. I jumpered the org and blu wires on the connector and the fans came on but only for about a minute then the fuse blew again. Does it sound like the fan and the fan relay are bad?

does this relay switch control the ac fan ?

hi, if you mean the blower motor (ac/heater fan), no, this doesn't control that. I believe the blower motor is directly controlled through the switch on the dashboard and a fuse in the fuse panel.

it does shut off when I turn the van off could it be a fuse
